What
I know what you mean.  On TV, the top players seem to hit PW about 160 yards on full swing.    You may be getting more out of your "soft" swing than you think.
do you mean- when I swing 85%my pw is 145 When I swing 75 it is 140-145 (Probably not true anymore cause I am striking the full swing better"

The only guess I have is that you may be hitting more sweet spot with slower swing.  Sometimes, my 3/4 (shorter) swing goes as far as my full swing average.  As I become more consistent with my swing, I see more clear yardage variance between my 3/4 sing and a full one.

And I don't mean shorter swing I mean I don't swing as hard

You probably mean not as fast a rotation.

I'm not sure what country you are in - but given that English would seem to be your second language, I'm not quite sure what you are saying.

In any case, the practice swing with the PW in one of your videos doesn't seem to be backing up what you are saying.

It's possible that something is being lost in your translation into English. Is that possible, do you think?

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Since I posted the distances I use to hit my clubs , its changed a lot , im hitting my 6 iron a 190 yards now , and the real kicker is that I tried out Callaway X muscles backs last night and I was hitting the six iron 210 - 220 yards with them ,  I averaged 185 with pitching wedge , and 3 iron was 245  - 260 every shot ,   I definitely now what Im buying real soon , screw cavity backs  , :D

Not a bad shank drive if you're getting 180 out of it. If you perfect that shank draw, you may get a few more yards though...

Yeah thats the issue for me. Those are just standard shank distances where I am lining up about 90 degrees left and shanking it down the middle. If I can get the shank draw going it would do wonders for my game. When I hit at the driving range the guy to left of me wouldn't be freaking out because I am aiming right at him

If I want it straight I will go 160 with my 7 iron. I wont push any further than that. You can base the other clubs from there. My driver? I take testosterone for medicinal reasons. I consistently blast em 300 plus whatever roll I get. Too bad I am not allowed to compete cause of the juice. My buddies really hate it and wont let me bet with them. lol

I had a friend on steroids for medical reasons, and he could do sets of one finger pullups. He had to be careful of his tendons when exerting himself.

    • Your determination & tenacity inspires me. keep at it!  I’m looking forward to your shooting that 79!
    • He's had 3 top ten finishes in majors recently, so maybe the odds aren't that low.  And this was his 6th PGA tour win.  And he is 5th in the OWGR.  What does it say about the state of golf that a guy like this is 'unknown'. And what is the Pancake Zone?  I can't recall hearing that term before.
    • I refuse to give up.  Well, after switching from right handed to left handed and being fairly succcessfull, my medications got changed awhile back and I just (for curiosity) pulled my Cleveland Launch Driver (12* loft, Senior flex shaft) and was hitting around 130 to 150 yards with it. (Nice and straight)  My golfing buddy just happened to have his new Q135 Taylormade (and hits about 250 yard drives.)  As a side note, I was taking a drug to keep my heart from fluttering  (Propranonol) and it was suspected that it was driving my pulse down. (From the 70's to the low 50's. )  So, since my Cleveland Launch does a little better at slower swing speeds, I switiched back to my right handed clubs. Cleveland driver, 3 & 5 wood, and Majek Hybrid irons.  Well, Sunday, my pulse was back up in the 70's so I decided to play right handed. I felt really well and my strength had returned.  Front 9, I shot a 54. (I am now 79 years old and have set a goal to shoot my age this year or next year at 80) I play fairly well either right handed or left handed.  On the back 9, I started hitting my buddy'x Q135 driver and had worked the distance up to around 175 yards off the tee. (9.* loft and stiff shaft) Changged my swing to a softer and smooth  swing style. (By bringing my back swing more vertical and the swing more relaxed and smooth. I don't swing strong enough to get much flex on a stiff shaft. )  I finished the round with a 52. (Playing Fort Hays, Kansas)  So,,,,,,,I ordered me a new Q135 Taylormade, 10.5* loft, and Diamona Regular Flex.  I will go back to playing with my Majek Hybrids and play right handed, since my medications have been adjusted and are working quite well. ( I wonder if they have a medication  that would increase my swing speed.) Been raining and I can only play 18 holes and then at least a day to rest up for another 18.   Golfers, play for fun, enjoy the game, but don't quit! Don;t get hung up on what your buddy is doing; having your mind somewhere else, while you are trying to make your body play golf.   I will let you all know how my new driver works out. Thanks for reading.  Retired Old Man
    • Foundations Session 3: Changes I am noticing so far. 1) My swing was a slower backswing with a slight pause at the top.  I am now a little faster taking it back and am eliminating the pause. 2) for years I had issues not been completing my turn and finishing flat footed.  I had been attributing that to foot & knee issues but those have been surgically fixed now but prior to The Stack I was still finishing that way often.  Recently I attributed that to muscle memory but now that I am working on The Stack I am completing that turn regularly.  I think the more aggressive down swing is varying through to the follow-through and causing me to actually make that turn. i’ve not taken any of this to the range so can’t say any definitive stats on actual changes but I feel more confident on the course.
