I have been on the lookout for a decent pair of sunglasses to use while on the course, but have not been able to find any decent pair that won't put a dent in my wallet.
For those of you who wear them, what recommendations do you have for me...

I have always been a fan of Arnette's. They have polarized models that normally run about $80-90 maximum. I have two pairs (black and brown) and love them both. High quality w/o the high price tag.

I wear NYX Golf sunglasses and have always liked them. They are wraparound, which I like a lot, and have interchangable lenses which is great for changing out during different times of year. I have 2 pair and only paid about $50 for both. I got them on some eBay store.

The only way to roll.

HaHa, those were the s#!t back in the late 80's maybe into the very early 90's.

To the OP how much is too much for you to spend on sunglasses? If you keep an eye on this website http://www.steepandcheap.com they have incredible deals on sunglasses.

Im aware oakley's are somewhat expensive, but they definitley are worth it in the long run. Ive broke countless pairs of cheaper generic name sunglasses and eventually just broke down and bought the oakley's.
I have polarized Minute 2.0's and a pair of Half Jacket's. The half jacket's are great since you can change out the lenses according to weather conditions.

Smith Sliders. www.smithoptics.com They come with several different color interchangable lenses...depending on the conditions. I have a pair with some Polarized lenses for sunny days. Orange for more cloudy and overcast and some Yellow during rain and late in the day to brighten things up. The nice thing is that you get 3 glasses in 1 frame.

They can run upwards of $100, but if you go to www.campmor.com you can find them on clearance very frequently for around $40

I wanted to try sunglasses for golf last year, now I'll never go back! Definitely useful to protect my eyes. I found a pair of Sundogs which have been great. The lenses are not polarized, they are just grey, but they provide enough clarity to comfortably play a round. They were originally $50. The one thing that I have noticed is that the straight earpiece is just barely long enough to rest on my hat while on. I have noticed that Oakleys, on Poulter and Annika have plently of length in the ear-thing, to go over and rest on his visor or hat.

imho, Oakley and Bolle are the the best sunglasses you can buy. The lenses both of these companies use can't be beat for optical clarity, throw in the multitude of frame choices and it's a no brainer.

Every time I buy a cheap pair of glasses I lose them or break them, but if I drop a $100+ on a pair I make damn sure I know where they are at all times.

Had Bolle in the past and liked them.

Last Christmas I got the Oakley 'Radar Pitch' model and love them. I have 2 sets of lenses, one dark for summer and a lighter lens I wear in Spring/Fall/Winter. They are worth more, but I think they are worth it in quality. As an earlier post said, I always know where they are.

I have Persols that are great. I think they were around $200, but that was with prescription lenses.

Well my mother's a sales rep for a sunglasses company so I get as many as I want free but I'd just suggest getting something expensive enough to ensure that they aren't actually damaging your eyes and something that's comfortable that won't move around on your face when you swing a club. I don't see the point of dropping a lot of money on sunglasses. As long as they aren't dirt cheap the protection you get from a $20 pair and those $200 Oakleys will be exactly the same and any pair of sunglasses will last if you look after them well enough.

Weighing only 25 grams, the Ventoux T-G570 sunglasses have adjustable nose and earpieces, ventilated lens and 100 percent UVA and UVB protection. They come with three interchangeable lenses, including a smoke green tint to help see the ball in flight and purple tint to spot subtle breaks on the green.

These are only $60 and sound great

    • God I hate when golf can’t give me n+1 day of success. Drives me up the wall when my body is, FU! Im like, ok let’s check the vid. Yep too much turn, arms getting behind me. Ok, I work on that. Get the feel back for a shorter swing. Confirm with video. Then going back to arms down stuff.  Arms down, nope it’s hands out towards the ball. Oh, you get arms down better. Guess what, you don’t get to rotate and you hit 6 inches behind the ball. Yay!  Maybe I should have walked off the range and not wasted my time. I wish there was a body alert system when it’s going to a SOB for the day. 😭 OK rant over, I’ll be back at this tomorrow.

    • I mean there has to be some thought. For eg., something like 'soft knees and wrists' at set up and maybe a dynamic 'left arm to chin' as a trigger to start DS. I have these one or two anchor thoughts and have served me well. In fact, my wildest swings are the one where I have no thoughts or if I forget to walk thru my anchor thoughts. In contrast my best rounds are where I am consistent with the anchor thoughts.    OTOH, if I am running my entire half hour lesson (hypothetical) with some pro that I had last Saturday or whatever before every swing then I'm probably in trouble before I even get over the ball.
    • Two bits. Bit 1 The NCAA's appeal of Brendan Sorsby being granted a temporary injunction will not be heard until February, so there will be nothing to prevent Sorsby from playing the full season and potential CFP.  Bit 2 The Big Ten Conference will hold a meeting and is expected to ban all of its athletic programs from playing Texas Tech in the regular season. Georgia has done the same. The SEC will meet to consider a similar ban. Fellow Big 12 members TCU and Kansas State are spearheading a similar ban, but the conference charter might not allow it. Meanwhile, Big 12 athletic directors are meeting this week to explore what options the conference might have.
    • No, but I'm also in disagreement that golfers have no thoughts over the golf ball, and/or don't ever think I've met someone I truly believe is thinking nothing but "target" or something on most shots.
