Decided to take golf seriously since 1/2009. As such, my goals are:

1. Get a fairly consistent, powerful swing
2. See how much that lowers my double bogey per hole handicap
3. Learn a short game and putting technique that works for me
4. See where the dust settles and evaluate my game/handicap at the end of the year

Play at least 2-3 rounds a week.

Practice my putting for two or more hours a week.

Have a repeatable short game. This will also require practice.

Play with a relaxed confidence.

Stop sweeping so much with my irons. It was ok when I started, but now I need to hit down more.

Find a driver that works with my swing.

Main goal : Become a scratch golfer by the time I turn 17 (I am 16 now).

Next : Get down to 22-26 putts a round.

Next : Hit EVERY green in regulation.

-I play everyday in the summer + school golf which is going on now so I think I can get it :)

Since my bag got stolen in the middle of the season last year, and I didn't have the cash to replace it, now that I have saved up goal number 1 is to buy a new set!
Goal number 2 is to play as often as possible
Goal number 3 is to hit around 90 consitantly.
Looking for some equipment advice through this forum.

Coming off of a 15 year hiatus so:
Improve consistency in all areas. Duh, need at least 1 reachable goal
More Specific:
1) Eliminate 3 Putts (Avg. 36 Putts per round. Currently ~42)
2) GIR up to 40% (Currently 25%)
3) FW up to 60% (Currently 45%)
4) Eliminate disastrous holes (No quads or higher)
5) Get my first Eagle
6) HCP 17

My goals are simple but hard too:

1) Improve putting (I want to avg. 31 putts a round)
2) Get GIR to around 40%
3) Shave about 3 strokes off handicap (now it's an 11)
4) 1x every 3 months, play a premium round ($80 or more)

Chuuch

My goals are:
1) Break 100 for the first time (so close)
2) Become more consistent with accuracy and distance
2.5) Greatly improve approach shots
3) Lower number of 3 putts to 1 per 18 holes
4) End the year at or below an 18 handicap

Goals already accomplished
Get new clubs (still need a hybrid and a sand wedge)

1. Handicap Below 20
2. Break 90 Consistently
3. Practice At Least Twice A Week
4. Get Fitted And Buy New Clubs
5. 36 Or Less Putts Per Round (Probably Toughest One For Me And Directly Related To 1 And 2)

1. Get back to playing regularly again
2. Get back to regularly breaking 80 again.
3. Get my little girls into golf (3 and 5).
4. Get my wife back into golf.

Regards,
Gary

1. Go lower than 79 (my best round)
2. Get my handicap straight (play twenty rounds)
3. Decrease my three putts
4. Support and encourage my gf interest in golf

* Break into the 70's
* Fix my Tendinitis so I can actually play more
* Since the Tendinitis is making me not be able to swing a club, improve my short game and putting.
