I have really grown to like my hybrids a lot and just tonight I bought another well its going to be a Christmas present from my wife. I got a Nickent 4 ironwood 26 degree. Oh the one I bought tonight has a V2 shaft can't wait to hit this will replace my 5 iron. I also have a Nickent 2 ironwood 17, and a Nickent hybrid 7 wood 21 degree. Just wondering what all hybrids you all carry. Thanks

Just one. The Taylor Made in my sig. I like this club as it feels more like an iron to me then some of the other hybrids I've hit/owned. I also have a cobra baffler 18* hybrid but it is out of the bag (as is my 3 iron).

A TaylorMade rescue mid 19 degree. I love it! I tried to switch to the 07 burner 3 and just didn't like it as much.

Next season I will likely carry two of the following three, depending on course setup and amount of faith I happen to have in each one:

(1) Sonartec MD 19*
(2) Callaway X-Hybrid 21*
(3) Nickent 5DX 24.5*

The Nickent is due to arrive in a few days. Definitely looking forward to seeing it!

I just have the XLS in my signature, the shaft really makes this club though. I was using hybrids all the way up to my 5 iron as recent as 6 months ago but as I started taking lessons I took all of oout of the bag except the 22* 3 iron replacement.

I use Cobra Bafflers, from the older models (4 years ago?) to the newer DWS. Woods have always been less consistent for me, and these practically swing themselves, so no real complaints. I chose them because I just hit them better, and they were a little more economical. If you have never tried it, they are really great to use out of a fairway bunker if you find yourself there.

TM Burners. 19 and 22 degree. The 4 degree closed face is a pain, for me, however. I keep hooking them unless I alter my swing. I may change next year.

3H = Nike Ignite. Long, straight, easy to hit. Replaces a Taylor Made R7 I could not hit right (too many hooks).

4H = Nickent 4DX. Taking it out to the range today. It replaces a Maxfli that I was unable to hit well consistently (shaft a little whippy - some hooks, some slices).

5H = Adams A3. Money club - straight, easy to hit, and stays on the green (if I can hit it).

I have a 2H but haven't hit it for a while. The long shaft demands more range time.

Driver: Nike Ignite 10.5 w/ Fujikura Motore F1

4H: Nickent 4DX
5H: Adams A3

how do you like the pro gold

Right now I've only hit the 4 Hybrid outside of a simulator, but it is amazing. I get a nice flight and can carry it up to 220 yards. It's hard to hit this anything but straight. I love it, which is why I just picked up the 3 Hybrid.

    • The MTB Prime and Prime X had issues with the cover being too soft and getting cut too easily. They said it was more prevalent in the Prime than the Prime X which I found odd because that was the exact opposite of my experience.
    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
