I've had 1 eagle, and it was a chip in. Hit a terrible driver than a decent 3W over the green. Chipped it in for eagle. I have never made the first putt after reaching a par 5 in 2.

Not at all. There are people who can get on most par 5s in 2 and many others who can't. 1 or fewer is > 50%.

I'm 0 for 3 on eagle putts this spring - a lot of people are longer than I am and most people are better putters. Edit - not really 0 for 5 - two of those were putting from the apron.

Got eagle #2 today!

Short par 4, 344 yards (downhill). Gave it a good solid drive and it bounced in front of the green and on, then rolled to 4 feet.

(I'm the one closer to the pin)

Thank goodness I made the putt!

Made eagle today on the 4th. Holed a pitch from a few yards short/right of the green.

I birdied 1, eagled 4 and birdied 5. I was four under after five and I got a little nervous about having my best 9 ever. Ended up three under after 9.

First person in the zero group. I hope I'm not alone.

Nope... you're not. I've been very, very close on several occasions, but nothing's ever dropped.

I've had a lot more eagle chances since my last post in this thread but still 0 for 2010.

Today I played the front 9 at River Bend. 2-putt birdie on #6 and a 3-putt par on #9. I've hit that #9 green in regulation the last 4 times I played there - only one birdie to show for it. I hate that green so much.

Never had one. Never had the distance to get onto a par 5 in 2 or to pitch in on a par 4. I've added some length to my game now so hopefully i can change things.

I've got three. I drove the green in two on a short Par 5 (i love hitting my 3 wood of the fairway!) and drained a 15 ft putt. I chipped in on a very short Par 4 (250 yards long, chipped in from about 5 yards off the green). And I drove the green on another short Par 4 and one putter (hole was about 230 yards long and I sunk a 20 ft putt).

I always play from the white tees, so that has helped to give me a few eagle opportunities.

Two so far this year. Both in my second season! :)

The first was a 322 yard par 4. My drive landed on the front of the green and rolled up to within 3" of the hole for a tap in.

The second came on a 310 yard uphill par 4. My drive landed on the front of the green and rolled past hole. I then sank a 4' downhill putt.

I've had about dozen more Eagle putts this year, however most of them have been from 10' or further.

I've had two eagles, both on short par 5 holes. The first was about 10 years ago while playing in a tournament, and the second was my first round of this season. On both occasions I drove the green in two and drained putts. The first was about 10 feet and the second about 5 inches. I've also had one double eagle (holed out from the fairway on my second shot on a par 5), but never a hole in one.

I've had exactly zero. Putted for eagle twice on a driveable Par 4 but missed both putts, had one more close call when I had a 100 yard wedge shot lip out on another short Par 4.

I keep track of each round using software I have had for a long time so it is easy to check. 17 eagles recorded with the first being in 1993 and two hole-in-ones.

But more importantly, I am out on the golf course again and will have my single digit index back (starting next week) after 5 abdominal surgeries in the last 2 years. Playing good golf is important, but not nearly as important as just being physically able to play.
