last night i dreamed that i was playing in a tournament, and i guess i must've been doing pretty good because i was paired with tiger woods. and for some reason, john daly was my caddy. so i walk to the first box, and one of the officials tells me "you have to hit from over there." and i'm led into someone's house and into their kitchen, and i have to tee up on the linoleum floor and fire my shot out their kitchen door and down the fairway. how i was getting the tee into their floor i don't know (it's a dream, after all), but i kept having to re-tee over and over, because i'd put the ball down, take my stance, and realize i didn't have room to swing. finally i pretty much had to stand tip-toed against the wall and swing the club, which did not lead to the best tee shot. i half-topped it about 150 yards into a gigantic bunker on the left. tiger, meanwhile, put it way out in the middle of the fairway like 50 yards short of the green because HE got to tee off on a regular box and not in someone's kitchen.

i storm out of the kitchen bellowing that this is bullsh*t and why does he get to hit from the box and i have to hit from inside someone's house? anyway, i go into the bunker looking for my ball, and i can't find the thing. i find two other golf balls, but not my own. and i'm fairly certain i'm still within my alotted five minutes of searching, but suddenly the entire population of the course is backed up about 50 yards behind me, just glaring at me. i finally find my ball but have to take a penalty for an unplayable lie, because it is cratered like four inches into the sand. still manage a par after getting my ball on the green and within 2 feet of the cup. hooray for me. tiger, meanwhile, has already got his birdie and is waiting on number two for my pokey self to get up there, so i'm trying to hustle along and put myself back together after the stress of the first hole.

the walk to the second hole was pretty long, and halfway there is a little girl with a dog sitting by the path. and john daly just gets REALLY excited about seeing this dog. he starts doing baby talk to it, petting and rubbing it and going IZZAT A CUTE WITTLE DOGGY? YES IT IS! YES IT IS! and it's rolling over and jumping around and just loving the attention, but i'm like ... john, we really need to get to the second tee. tiger's waiting. come on, john. john. JOHN! COME ON!

and that's where i woke up.

put the pipe down man lol jk but really is a strange dream

How the heck did you remember all those details?

But yeah, I've had a golf dream 'similar' to yours. Definitely didn't have to hit out of someone's house but Tiger was there somewhere doing something (I don't remember) and JD wasn't my caddy. It was a hot chick but I don't remember her face. Maybe Jessica Biel I think? Yeah - she's hot, I'll go with that

i've always been able to really vividly remember my dreams since i was little. they usually don't stay with me long, a day or two at most, but if i write them down within 12 or 15 hours, i can typically recount almost the whole thing right down to the tiniest details. this wasn't my first golf tournament dream, though it was certainly the oddest. usually my golf dreams are more mundane and almost always involve me half-topping a ball to the left. i guess that's the shot i fear the most for some reason, since it constantly comes up in my subconscious.

Lol Playing out of a kitchen that was a weird dream.

They say golf is like life, but don't believe them. Golf is more complicated than that.

The john daly and the dog part really cracked me up. The whole baby voice oh god, i can picture it all thats what makes it even more fun. Big ol fat john in his nice plaid pants(open de espana outfit lol), rubbing on a dog on the way to the next hole....priceless.

Thanks for the laugh!

I had a couple strange ones a few weeks ago. In the first I was playing in a tournament, and must have been doing really well cause I was going into the first playoff hole against Charlie Hoffman of all people. The course seemed, best I could tell, to be in my parent's backyard. We both hit our tee shots, then decided to go take a break for a while. I came back and he had already hit his 2nd while I was gone. I hit my 2nd and top/sliced it off the hole. Ended up with 2nd place. I hope I never eat whatever it was I had before bed at night again.

The other involved a younger Tiger Woods just hanging out at my house. Apparently we were friends. His wife calls him up on his cell all worried cause she tried to pay the water bill and the check bounced. He told her he had just used a check off that account and must have spent all the money.

No, these aren't the weirdest dreams I've had, but they're the only golf related ones, lol.

No really pick the pipe back up - I want to hear the end of this. Cheers

P.S. When you got to J D and the little doggie - I got scared for a minute

LOL! That's pretty damn good man... I think the craziest golf dreams have to involve Daly in some way or another haha...

ROFL. I have similar dreams when I get frustrated with my game. They often involve teeing up in odd places where I don't have room to swing the club. A few weeks ago, I was a Monday qualifier on a PGA Tour event. I was teeing from a normal tee box (finally) but there was this large man sitting in a chair on the tee and would not move. No matter where I put the ball, he was in the way. Since I have lost 35 lbs since the beginning of the year, I am interpretting that this man was myself (i.e. - I won't get out of my own way).

Strange.

    • I'd find a free fitting, take your clubs, and see what you can see. For example, we have a PXG fitter come to our academy every Tuesday, and he's great about sharing info about why he's having you hit a certain shaft or clubhead or something. And… if you don't see much of a change, skip it.
    • Day 1 (3 Apr 25) - Restarting the routine after a 4 day quick trip.  Got back in the groove today for some swings of the 6i and driver into the net -‘to just warm the muscles a little.  Wrapped up the day with grandson hitting 20-25 yd pitches in the backyard.  Love watching his swing and also his concept of course management, to hear him say he left himself in a good position to finish (good words from a soon to be 9 yr old)….
    • Day 185 - 2025-04-03 Had a good 2.5 hour session at Golf Evolution. Kinda glad it was still wet and windy out today as I wouldn't have gotten such a good session in if I played. Got up to 93 MPH (with a pause) on my 6I and 130 MPH ball speed (on a different slightly slower hit, a bit more de-lofted than I'll want eventually).
    • I'm highly probable for the entire weekend, thanks for doing the hard work to set it up.  I can't wait for more details.
    • I take 2nd, is a confirmation that you can eventually win your major and also is good material for having a laugh about it in the distant future.
