I was just shedding light since I have attended the memorial the last four days and seen them up close. They say they are almost identical to the VR's anyway with cosmetic changes that look like the originals..so there really is no telling..I will get as close as I can again today to look even closer. I got it...hes playing prototypes, that are like VR's..but cosmetically look like the original blades. win win!! sweet! Its more interesting to me him changing lofts again on his driver, and wow his accuracy is really improving..

dude that's what i was telling you all the time... prototypes don't look like the final stuff. that's why they are called prototypes. They don't need to have a BIIIIIG V on them to be VR irons. These irons are the VR irons just not with the finish and stamps on it

Whatever you think about what Tiger's equipment change means about Nike Golf, it's safe to say that the change worked out well for Tiger. He hits every fairway in the final round, and leaves a combined 6 feet for his birdie putts at 17 and 18 to shoot 65 and likely close out the Memorial. Dominant Tiger is back, at least for one day.

So, I think it might be safe to assume that this will be his Bethpage bag. Maybe part of it was confidence in the trusty old blades, even if they were a nearly identical club. I think Nike would paint up his irons like Vr's but the look might mess with his head. As the old saying goes (for any sport): "You look good, you feel good. You feel good, you play good."
