Anyone else hate tee boxes that are just littered with broken tees? Played 18 with my dad Tuesday. Yesterday, I notice their is A BROKEN TEE speared through the bottom of my golf shoe, al the way through except the very pad inside. Luckily, my dad just filled it with silicone so it won't let water in. But I mean, wtf???? Anyone ever had this before? lol

Thats some golf tee... but in the 14 years I've been playing I never had, heard of ,or seen anything like your story. It must have been a 1 in a million thing though for you to not feel to you were standing on a tee and the fact that it didn't break.

Do you mean the area where you tee off, or those boxes they have next to the area that hold broken tees? Nothing against either of them, but I do get annoyed at people who don't try to keep the course nice out of respect.

i would rather have flat tee boxes than cleared off ones. it seems that none of the reasonably priced courses around here have level tee boxes...

Ideally, the tee ground should be level and clear of debris. Every tee box should have some divot repair material. However, I only find this at the very high end courses (which I don't play very often), so I've learned to live with it.

I do, however, pick up as many broken tees as reasonable and dispose of them. When there is divot repair material, I'll fill in as many divots as I can with one scoop.

I think I'd settle for tee boxes I could get a tee into right now. My home course is like concrete, I actually sliced my finger open last week when a tee broke with me trying to shove it in the ground.

No doubt! Sometime I wish I had a hammer when trying to get my tee into this Georgia clay.

Don't really let things like that bother me. I can't do anything about it, so I don't worry about it. I'm far more concerned with unfilled divots in the fairway and unrepaired ball marks on the greens. Those I WILL make an effort to fix when time allows.

The municipal track just down the street from me is the exact opposite. There is a retiree/ranger that spends time every day going to the tee boxes and cleaning up all of the broken tees. Kind of rough on the par 3s when you want a broken tee.

As a manufacturer of golf tees I love seeing as many broken tees as I can on the course, job security. Hate to see them go through someones shoe though.

Hey Alomar, Ive got a bunch of brush tees I will send you if you cover the shipping. Let me know.

thanks, but im gonna have to pass, ive just started playing and I am still trying to figure out what i like best

I don't mind broken tees on the tee boxes. I'm looking at my ball when I swing so why should a few broken tees lying around bother me? What irks me is uneven tee boxes.

I reccomend getting these, they are our biggest seller and most popular tee on tour. Let me know if you would like a sample.

I will take some brush tee's if you are offering. I actually use the tee's in your link. I have the blue ones. I like them alot, but truthfully i break alot of them too.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

Actually those pts tees are not too good, they were the first i tried since they have a measurement nex to it but they break extremely easily

I love broken tees on par 3's. I always hunt around for one lying about and rarely am I disappointed. Why waste a perfectly good unbroken one?

I used to use those pts tees but for the same reason as above I don't play them any more. I'm too cheap, and they break almost every time. Golf being a venerable Scottish game, being cheap is a virtue.

    • True, true. I should do that. He really did go off during that run, I remember now. Appreciate the context.
    • I am pretty sure it is this. Word probably got around. The reports coming out now is that he bombed some interviews, and when pressed about it during the interview just basically had a horrible response. His attitude is crap. There are stories about him throwing his players under the bus at Colorado. I get it, he's not playing behind the best O-Line or have the best weapons (outside of Travis Hunter). That is bad leadership, bad attitude.  Also, it could be his dad as well. Who would want Prime Time chattering.  Go watch the playoff run. Four top 10 teams. He was elite. The Penn State game happened with our starting left guard shifting to left tackle and going up against the 3rd pick in the NFL draft. He had two big mistakes early. The pick, which looked to be a defensive play call to trap that RPO quick out, and then the fumble off his knee. He won the game besides that.

    • Yea I admit too I had more of a 2nd round evaluation on him, where I wrote in my notes "Maybe Geno Smith" after watching a couple games. Too many screens, too many sacks, awkward throwing motion at times, low velocity at times. Too low. At other times though I thought he made some nice throws, hence why I thought he should've probably gone around round two. So to me the free fall is surprising to an extent, but of course, it all makes sense now that he's still sitting there. He probably bombed his interviews too, and I know almost nothing of his personality. I love sports betting, hence why I love following this stuff, but there's only so much I can know from the outside looking in. But yea, my 2nd round guess was smart to an extent, but also bad now that he's still on the board and it's pick 4.17 at the moment. I see. Thanks for the take, I know you watch every game of theirs.  I just watched some of the Penn State game and can see both the upside and why he's still available. But I can get on board as well that Howard has more upside than Sanders too. Tougher competition, showed some growth from K-State to Ohio State.  I guess the question marks with Howard are processing and accuracy. Yea especially for us as fans. We don't get to interview these guys or talk to their college coaches to get a better idea of what they'll be like to work with everyday. We don't know who will end up being more durable and whose body will just naturally break down over the next few years. Some guys are great talents who go to terrible situations too, who are poor system fits in failed regimes. Other guys hit the jackpot with the perfect role on a great team in a weak division. There are so many variables.
