The course is finally starting to play tough. I thought it would. After going there for the prac. round on Tuesday, I thought this course would be one of the toughest they play this year. And it finally is. I think the winning score will be around -6 or -7. I don't think guys are going to keep scoring. The wind SWIRLS at this course, and it's incredibly long (which genrally doesnt' bother these guys because they are so long, BUT with that wind it's going to play a big factor.)

So far the leadboard, especially the first page, is pretty weak. Hopefully we start to get some bigger names up there for a more interesting tournament this weekend.

Looks like a really cool course on TV. So many ripples and bumps throughout giving it a very unique aesthetic. I really like the small greens with a lot of chipping area around them. Looks like a lot of fun to play on.

I spend a lot of time in NYC and it's sort of a special place for me so it's awesome to see the downtown area up to midtown, Ellis Island and Red Hook Brooklyn.

The people who put this course together have done a fabulous job. I don't know how they did in terms of budget or whether any toes were stepped on to complete this project, but the result is beautiful. What a setting.

Two quick notes.

1: Why was Sergio's hat on backwards?
2: I don't like the follow through of Zach's swing.

I love the design of the course. There are too many boring courses with nothing but flat fairway as far as you can see. Here we got a bumpy course with lots of fairways.

It's definitely tougher out there today. Nick Faldo said yesterday that he expected the cut line to be at 2-over; right now, it's three shots more than that.

As far as the Liberty National course is concerned, it's better than I thought it would be. It still looks a bit immature; I think it will be a much better course the next time it hosts the Barclays, which won't be until 2013 at the earliest.

Tom Kite was a co-designer of this and we talked to him on Tuesday and he was very very happy with the outcome of this course as well, he was a very friendly guy by the way, extremely nice.

The course is very narrow fairways but pretty wide near the greens with some very interesting run offs.

Damn has AK gotten skinny.

I remember at the Firestone tournament listening to Darby(his personal trainer) that he hasn't been able to wear his AK belt since the Wachovia because he has to get it re pinned.

A quote from Kris
...is that college bball really isn't "lower tier". The better teams have their rosters filled with guys who could play in the NBA. hell, guys used to come straight from high school to the NBA. I really don't think there's much of a difference skill-wise between the two.

Tiger demonstrating shaft flex after a drive yesterday.

Another day of golf on a difficult course with tough weather conditions. The drives are plugging into the fairway, no roll today.
At least it's warm and cozy in my sofa.

Love the look of Liberty. Looks like it could be sitting on the coast of Scotland. Less the NY sky line.

Ouch . . .

ABSENT-MINDED: Jim Furyk cost himself four penalty strokes—and probably a chance to win—when he inadvertently left an extra 60-degree wedge in his bag. Furyk discovered the 15th club on the second hole and had to take two penalty strokes for each hole, turning his two opening pars into double bogeys. He finished with a 70 and was 1 under overall, seven strokes out of the lead.

Tiger tiger tiger...I LOL'd when he almost smashed his driver. Watch the whole swing. Everything looked like it was going wrong. I mean he almost fell backwards in his follow through.

They're trashing Sergio on the Golf Channel early afternoon Sunday telecast ... basically told him to go away for awhile and work on his game. Then Sergio seemingly affirmed their suggestion with a horrible putt and an even worse chip.

He has played well at times the past few weeks ...
