Cleaning Sharpie marks...

Hi All,

Can anyone suggest a way to clean the sharpie marker marks I have on my clubheads? It's really annoying and I want to remove them.

Try acetone (main ingredient in nail polish remover), but keep that shit away from anything plastic!!!

Yes, it's from hitting marked balls. I'll try the nail polish remover. I can keep it away from plastic, but I may inhale it all.

Alcohol of some sort.

You can also paint over it with a sharpie that can be erased. Like those used on white boards. Paint the permanent marks with this eraser sharpie, then clean it all off. Works great.

Mine always come off with an old toothbrush and cold water. I'm a little anal-retentive about cleaning my irons after every round though, so there are never really any that get baked in. :)

I've never had a problem just wiping them off right after the shot. Wet the club face with your water bottle, wipe it off with your towel. None issue.

Someone said Goo gone. That would work great. If you use asitone don't get it on the paint. It will dull it pretty quik.

Plain old rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol). Get it at any pharmacy. It won't hurt anything else. Mine mostly come off with a damp towel, but if not, then I use alcohol.

I assume Goo Gone is the same as Goof Off? Either way, Goof Off works.

hot water and soap and a lil bit of scrubbin.....seems less dangerous to ur clubs than some other suggestions....and some ppl said to wipe them off w/ a towel, water bottle etc...if thats too troublesome for your new clubs try this: http://thesandtrap.com/accessories/f...n_towel_review thing works great!

I use wd40 ( http://www.wd40.com/ ) to keep my forged heads in shape. It cleans and protects. I love it ! Got the idea from reading a FAQ on the Mizuno website !

I use a Mr. Clean brush, Dove soap, and water:) works great!
