I personally don't mark mine. I find that there is no need seeing that I don't play with a lot of people at one time.

It's not a matter of playing with a lot of people. Sometimes the ball goes places we don't necessarily want it to go, there could be other balls of the same type in or near those places, marking let's me know for sure I'm playing my ball and not someone elses.

The majority of amatures out there don't mark their ball. Come up with something simple and I very seriously doubt that you will find someone else out there who plays near you that marks their ball the same way. The majority of the time if you know the type of ball and the number on it you will be fine.

Use a dot or two, that should work.

That's true, I guess it's just up to personal taste in the end

I like to mark my ball with a little smiley face to remind me to have fun, with golf being so frustrating at times. It's simple and takes no time to mark.

I like that idea! It would keep a good mood on the course.

I use 2 orange dots, 1 on each side of the Bridgestone logo. Not a lot of orange markers out there.

Truth be known, It's only frustrating when you think you're better than you are, LOL

I write my name, phone number, address, state and zip code on my ball, so they know where to send it when it's found ............ funny thing tho, I've lost lots of balls and have yet to receive one in the mail, go figure

And what's wrong with having confidence and expecting the best out of yourself? The best players on tour get frustrated all the time, it's nothing to be ashamed of.

Just looking for a nice way to make my ball that does not distract the eye.

Let me see you asked for an idea that

"does not distract the eye" ...I play the Srixon Z Star and I simply color in the letter "O" in the word Srixon...On your ball (per your signature) it says Callaway Golf...maybe just try coloring in the letter "O" in the word Golf???

TEE - XCG6, 13º, Matrix Ozik HD6.1, stiff

I spin my balls and have a line all the way around the ball. Distracting? No, not to me, and when a hit goes haywire, I find it quickly and know it's mine. It helps on lining up putts too. I have seen tour players with a line all the way around.

Usually a triangle of dots on three different sides of the ball so it can be identified in a tight lie.
