Anybody have an idea?

I didn't clean my 60* after practising and the next day there's 3-4 small spots of rust on it.
Is there any way to remove it? (I'll try cola when I get some)

There are some liquid rust removers on the market you can get at your local hardware store that should do the trick. The key is to remove all traces of rust, or it will come back. The rust products could be a little harsh, not sure what it'll do to the finish or look of the blade though.

It'll come off with use. I have 2 oil can wedges that were rusty as heck when I bought them, but you could still see the mill marks. After a few shots they shined right up. The part that contacts the turf/sand/ball is shiny and the rest is a nice brown color. I clean them with a water and a soft brush after using them and dry them completely with a towel. They look great.

No matter what you do the rust will come back. If there is rust that means that there is basically a hole in the plating finish on the club, and no matter what you do (short of refinishing it) rust will come back.

The Google ad at the bottom of the page was for LYSOL Power Toilet Bowl Cleaner with Lime & Rust Remover. What, that won't work?

I guess I was assuming you had a raw or oil can finish on your wedges. If that is not the case then jamo is correct.

Chrome polish and if you can find the one for boats it's even better. If you keep up with it the rust will stay away for a long time.

I didn't think of that. But really whether or not they are oil can if there is rust, more will come. You would just expect rust with oil can. With oil can you can use a wire brush to get it off, with a chrome wedge a wire brush would potentially cause more holes in the chrome.

Someone else mentioned Coca Cola, that just seems to take everything off. Not sure about chrome, but I would be careful. Same with vinegar.

It's a chrome finished wedge, i've hit a lot of shots with it though.

I'll try the aluminium foil one but I think the rust will just keep coming back now.

that was my 2nd grade sci project. Salt and vinegar solution, the salt for abrasiveness. Works very well with rust, but yes, vinegar will take your paint layer off too.

You'd have to get them re-chromed ($, cheaper to buy new). Any protective paste will wear off when you play them. I would just wipe them off with a rag moist with Rem Oil or WD40 after you're done playing.

Brush it down and forget about it; especially as you've hit plenty with it. It'll make no difference to anything. Cola has quite a bit of phosphoric acid in it so it behaves quite a bit like vinegar - probably stronger.

If you don't like it, make sure you clean/dry them after each time you use them.

I read somewhere that Oxystrip rust remover removes rust on contact.

Just don't use Oxyclean laundry powder - it make it rust faster. Good to know if you want give that old oxidation process a kick in the pants.

I use a solution of lemon juice and baking powder.  Mix to a pancake batter consistency bush it on, let it set for a minute and wipe it off.  Don't let it set too long!!!!.  After play, WD40.
