I play several courses in Alabama that have pretty cart girls but my favorite course has a old woman and a not so pretty young cart girl. This course has a junior college close by so I know they could hire prettier cart girls if they tried .

Am I being a dirty old man again?

Hot cart girls are fun to look at, sure, but they are slow because of all the horn dogs that stop them to try their lame lines out while buying a bud lite and tipping 50 cents and a wink.

Get me my drinks, quickly, and come back around soon.

Roddy Ranch golf club in Antioch has playboy quality cart girls. Slow as all hell.

How the hell else are we supposed to keep our morale up out there? And pretty cart girls need dirty old men such as yourself too; don't sell yourself short. Keep on creepin' I say.

Seriously though.. learn their names, tip them good, don't be a douche, and enjoy your beer and the summer scenery. Simple as that. It's always a good thing to have the cart girls on your side.

Funny story about the cart girl at one my local courses.

I just moved back to my hometown(where I went to high school) last fall. While out at the course last week the cart girl came up asking my friend and I if we wanted anything, and lo and behold it is one of my ex girlfriends from high school. We were pretty serious before I broke it off, and started dating the girl that is now my wife and she was devastated.

So we start talking and I ask her how she has been( haven't seen or talked to her in 5 years) and she was like well I graduated college and the only job I have is here at the golf course in a depressed tone. Then her eyes light up and she is like how are you doing? Did you get divorced( I didn't have my wedding ring on, don't wear it when I golf) and lose your job and that is why you moved back here? And I was like nope I am happily married and here is a picture of my 18 month old daughter, here is my business card from my great job which affords me the opportunity to be here at the golf course when ever I want. Her face got all droppy and she was like oh great and then drove off.

My friend was rolling on the ground laughing after the exchange

My sense of humour must be on the fritz this morning. I don't understand why someone paid Tom Green to make a movie either.

It wasn't about showing her. It was that she was trying to find something that would tell her my life sucked, and then it backfired in her face. I had no plans of talking about my wife, daughter or job until she asked if I was divorced

Very true. I've been with guys before who thought they were being witty & charming and succeeded in only creeping the poor girl out. There's a fine line between friendly flirting and the need for the cart girl to go for her can of mace. A word of advice to those who think they're "the man" SHE'S NOT GOING HOME WITH YOU!

When I'm chatting with a cart girl, I sometimes visualize this "friendly conversation" taking place off the course. The cart girl is uneasy, almost frightened in fact, my wife is slapping me in the back of the head and the kids are asking mommy why daddy's talking to a stranger. Good times!

    • Day 353: mirror work again today. Working on the same stuff - wrist twist and shaft lean.
    • This is my second year playing golf, I started last season but have always struggled with a slice. I've tried multiple things to try and fix the slice: Closing the face. Rotating my right hand out or clockwise in the grip. Keeping the club head low in my back swing. Focusing on a straight swing path. Trying the straighter arms like Bryson D. (as seen in the videos above) Trying to not let me hips get too far ahead of my down swing. Trying to keep my shoulders down until after I've made contact with the ball. Etc. I recently changed to the straighter arms which has helped me adjust away from such a drastic slice. So it has helped a bit. Before that, I was trying to keep the club head low in the back swing and this was the most helpful in correcting the slice, however it drastically removed power and distance in the strikes and would even sometimes result in a hook. About a couple months ago I had a single lesson with my driver and learned some helpful things, but have since struggled to perform what I learned well. One of the things in the lesson was to keep my shoulder down more in the the down swing until after making contact with the ball. This would help the slice a bit, sometimes drawing the ball. To even it out, I was instructed to rotate my hips a bit earlier in the down swing. What I have noticed however with the earlier hip rotation is that it's really hurting my lower back a lot. Since backing off on that it's helped not injure my low back as much. I believe my main issue might possibly be the swing path, being a Pull Slice.   See above, was mid typing when you posted. I have never watched Moe Norman's swing to be honest. I have never measure my hip rotation, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on that after you read about my hip rotation / back pain issue.
    • Two questions… Are you trying to swing like Moe Norman? What's your hip turn like? Have you ever measured it?
    • I've been Playing Golf for: 2 years My current handicap index or average score is: 18 Index My typical ball flight is: Slice/Fade with a driver and FW. Generally straight with irons, varies some days left or right. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Driver slice. Videos:
    • What are the best drills to practice awareness for club face control? This one came to mind after remembering a bit from the latest release of the podcast. I also think that I have poor club face to path awareness.
