Yea, wish it was public..but it is what it is. Glad Foley apologized for being a jerk. I still think, in my personal opinion, P&B; are hurt on the not getting true credit thing...too much of a bruhaha got made out of this for that to not be a factor, but to move forward we all gotta swallow our pride a bit. again, personal opinion :)

So if Foley is going to start publically acknowledging that he is teaching S&T; principles to Tiger.. and there is a collaboration now between Foley and P&B; regarding this "pact" or whatever you want to call it..will Tiger be in on it as well (such as media room questions, etc..) or will he leave that simply to Sean? So what I did take from that first paragraph "we've learned a lot together and from each other" is that P&B; are pretty much going to lie for image purposes so this doesn't turn into a "hes wrong, I'm right" type of debate..since the conclusion I have taken from postings on this forum is that Foley has been the one learning from them, not the other way around. So now Foley gets credit for helping them "learn" :) Damn Tiger sure is powerful :)
I was actually aware of this, but the S&T; guys use the term so well, hell, I just gave it to them. I mean, golfing machine, S&T;, all of them, to me, are more logical, scientific methods of teaching. We need a catch all term, "Stack and Tilt" sounds pretty silly. We should come up with names like

and when you get tour pros looking up into the camera saying "I'm stacked"...is just very cheesy.

Foley's latest interview on a Canadian Sports Radio show

I see nothing wrong with this interview. His comments seemed fair and I don't think he sounded like an ahole or "dumbass".

Only way someone can look at it differently is if your trying to read between the lines or has some inside knowledge.

shanks was talking about how both foley and plummer/bennett teach a ''weight forward'' swing. my point was that there is not a good swing that isn't ''weight forward.'' you can look at bobby jones' from 70 years ago and he is clearly leaning forward in the backswing.

I've only paid for lessons from one person and he didn't say a word about a weight shift so I couldn't say anything about that. He did cover head position/movement, which indirectly involves weight shift (or lack thereof). My point is, he sure as heck didn't promote shifting any weight to the right at any point during the swing and he didn't use any S&T; terminology. The hinging and holding of the right wrist at impact in the late 1980s so yeah, that's not new either, but I guess that's been covered too.

I didn't say that.

So what I did take from that first paragraph

You can't lie if you don't talk about it. Uhh, how to say this.... I get the sense everyone's just going to say "we believe in a similar set of motions" and leave it at that.

I think that is an example of P&B; taking the high road. I wasn't thrilled with this interview and I still don't think Foley really gets how he sounds when he says certain things. But the back and forth doesn't help S&T; and like Erik said, Foley & S&T; can help eachother. In the end, it's not where the info came from but how well the instructor relates the information to the student.

Yeah, maybe I'm just looking for an excuse to be offended. I'll let it go.

And who knows, maybe Tiger will actually start to suck more , thereby rendering moot any issue of who gets what credit.

I wonder if Foley will bring videos of Tiger to P&B; if he starts struggling.

^^^ x2 please

yes, I'm not sure the specifics of the conversation, but I got it from a good source that he consulted P&B; about Tiger before they started working together. The important part is that Foley is doing a good job with Tiger, some good changes already.
