A Phillies/Rangers Series would be a great duel of good pitchers, but at this stage -- they are all loaded with good pitching.

I think the Yankee's starting rotation is the weakest of the bunch. I'd love seeing a Halladay/Lee matchup in game one of the World Series though!

The Rangers have really blown the lid off of this game. It's a shame that the bullpen went to hell in the 8th inning of game 1 or this could easily be 3-0 Rangers. They've outplayed the Yankees for 25 innings now and are really looking good.

Imagine if Cliff Lee was still with the Phillies. He pitched a magical game tonight. His delivery is so hard to read I don't know how anyone hits him unless it is just a lucky swing and he misses his spot entirely. Oh, and apparently Smoltz shot one over at Bethpage, or something like that -- I did not quite catch the whole exchange except he must have bogeyed 17.

I try not to think about that....i never would have guessed i would miss a guy so much that we only had for 3 months. The Phillies are going to beat him but the man has nothing but respect from me!

As a Phillies fan I am very worried about the rangers. I'd rather see them playing the Yankees for sure.

You better worry about the Giants.

I am worried about the Giants (or the Phillies) but meantime I'm more worried about the Yanks. Go Rangers... it has been a long time waiting for a first World Series appearance. They are due and playing well.

Well... we are happy with the Rangers. World Series here we come. Now we wait.

I'm hoping for a Rangers-Giants World Series. And I am SO glad the Rangers won. (But it should have been the Red Sox if it weren't for a ridiculous string of injuries )

I found it interesting that after the game some of the chatter from the Yankee writers was (paraphrased): "Next year the Yankees will sign the Ranger's Cliff Lee and everything will be OK."

Typical Yankees attitude. I love seeing them lose though!

Nah. He's coming to Boston and he can join Beckett, Lester, Buchholz, and Matsuzaka to make the best rotation in recent memory. And Daniel Bahhhd (who throws wicked hahhhd) and Papelbon will close out every game.

Looks like it's going to be Rangers/Giants World Series! I'm so excited for the Rangers and can't wait till Wednesday. Go Rangers!

As for Cliff Lee, I'd love for him to stay with the Rangers after this year, but that seems to be wishful thinking... I just don't want the Yankees, Red Sox, Rays, or Phillies (basically the whole AL East and the Phillies:-p) to get him.

I also read something about them saying it was only a matter of time before they had Cliff Lee AND Elvis Andrus. Quintessential Yankee attitude.

I hate the mentality of the bigger teams in the MLB like the Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies...etc. They try and buy a championship every season and when it doesn't work they go on their little shopping sprees... I'll tell you this much I'd be much more heartbroken if Andrus made his way to the Yankees than if Cliff Lee did. I hope the Ranger lineup stays as is and maybe Chris Davis can become the 1st baseman everyone wants him to be.
