Anybody catch this? Very cool event. It was cool watching Woods, Casey, Villegas, and Jaidee having a casual, yet competitive round of skins. Jaidee's bird on the 17th was sweet and so was Villegas' long birdie putt. It's funny listening to them rag on each other...stuff they edit out of sanctioned events.

I watched it. Wish they'd talked less and let the mics each player had play a bigger role.

Agree with the less-commentators-more-mic-conversations. They made a big deal about it at the start and then constantly talked over the players' conversations.

The camera work was terrible, though - they couldn't track most of the shots.

I really think Tiger pulled his putt on 17, though.

There were some fantastic golf shots.

Tiger is kinda cheap, only donating $6,600, when his playing partners all donated over $90,000.

It's too bad such events are kinda spoiled by the commentators. On regular tournaments you don't hear a lot from the players, but when they stick a microphone to their shirt, we are supposed to hear what they are talking about. Of course, some commentators got a severe case of mouth diarreah.

Really?? That doesn't sound right. Not saying it's wrong because I have no clue what they donated, but I would think if Tiger knew they were donating that much, he wouldn't cheap out with 6600. But if he did, wow!

My DVR stopped recording after the push on 18. Did they play another hole, or have a chip off?

I always love to see pro's play skins, the lighter atmosphere, rooting for each other to halve the hole, taunting, etc. Almost like when I play skins with my buddies, except with us, bogies win the skins alot of the time!

I think they each donated their winnings -- and I think that's all he won.

BTW, I saw a few images of the event, and Tiger's caddie for this didn't look like Stevie Williams. Did I miss something, or did he just have a local caddie for the event?

I think on one of the first few holes Tiger hit the pin with his iron shot, then they didn't show his reaction or anything. Too bad. Or maybe he didn't have a reaction.

Yeah, the original post on this was tongue in cheek, which TN49 didn't get... :)

They said something at the start about none of them having their regular caddies. It'd be too much to ask for a guy's caddie to travel to Thailand for a one-day skins game. They probably sold the rights to caddie for the different players to corporate types.

Sorry. At least I wasn't the only one I guess. I didn't see it and didn't know the format. Although, smilies do help in these situations..

The camera work was pretty sketchy, like trying to show where tee shots land when the camera is way out there by the green...not so effective. Also, they did miss some shots (Tiger shot one of his better approach shots from the rough, and it was never shown). They did finish with a chip-off and Villegas squeezed it in super tight, although Jaidee was in there pretty close (he had the same chip shot right before the chip-off). I'm wondering about the microphone thing, too, maybe they were doing a bunch of swearing, etc. that kept most of what they said off-air? I heard a couple f-bombs in the background throughout. You could see that Tiger and Casey were definitely trying to out-drive each other on most of the holes, and that was fun to watch. Casey absolutely nutted a 3 wood further than the other three hit driver, which was cool.

the match was very fun to watch. I loved the "casual" feel to the match. I especially enjoyed how they ditched the rules at the end and instead of replaying the final hole, the players basically decided to do a chip off and also included Tiger in the chip off even though he did not tie that final hole with everyone else.
