Hi,

I just started applying stack and tilt principles, and it feels I'm making progress. However I'm looking for a good face on and DTL video of a good stack and tilt swing, which I can use in V1 golf. Any tips?

Go to youtube and check out Charlie Wie, Mike Bennett, and Grant Waite.  There's a good three view slomo of Dave at www.thegolfevolution.com

I don't know if V1 can import flv (a good video app should be able to), but there's plenty of Stack & Tilt swings in YouTube.  Golf Evolution, Dana Dahlquist, Nick Clearwater are 3 I can think of off the bat.

I usually refer to Charlie Wi or Mike Bennett when comparing my swing. No one golfer is really the ideal model for the pattern, but these two are pretty close.

Also, check out Tiger Woods' new swing. He's hitting a ton of the positions.

Others to consider: Palmer, Hogan, Nicklaus, Johnny Miller, all the old greats. Plus the current Stack and Tilt contingency on tour. Matteson, Dean Wilson, Eric Axley, Tommy Armour III, Steve Elkington.

Any of Foley's students exhibit a ton of the moves as well.

If V1 can't import flv, there's a program called "youtube downloader" which can download and convert the file.

Normally I really prefer it if people embed YouTube videos, but in the case below I'll make an exception!!!

Hi,

I use the v1 program and it is excellent. Im pretty sure there was an area where you can import the videos straight from the tube?? Havent used it in 6 months but i know it was fairly simple to get the vids.

The Charlie Wie Hitting All the Positions Youtube video that Zeph already provided is a personal favorite of mine. It seems every time I watch that clip I see something new. Just the other day, I was watching a different Charlie video from the face-on view and finally realized that the hips moving forward created secondary axis tilt , or rather, caused the spine to tilt away from the target. I compared it with clips of my swing and realized that I had virtually no secondary axis tilt with any club. Kind of an "ah-ha" moment for me.

I haven't swung a club in a while though, so I have yet to test this out.

Mildly off topic.

Clearly, Peter, the best answer is "buy a MacBook and a copy of Analyzr!"

I really like this swing, it is a powerful SnT swing that really fits my eye. But iacas and other experts, is this a good swing to compare to/work towards?
