Any of you see the pre-game segment with Bubba Watson? He makes it tough not to root for him haha.  Like the guys were saying, he brings fun to the game that is there and should be there, but we rarely get to see in the tv coverage of golf.

I'm always rooting for Bubba too, I like how he plays his own game with his own style. He seems to be the working man's golfer who never had a lesson. Kinda the opposite of so many other tour players who were born with clubs in their hand, unlimited access to the course/ range, with coaches for every aspect of their game and life. At least that's my impression of him.

Phil is off to a hot start this year. This is a great tournament to watch.

Some good golf happening today. Phil is playing well, Ricky Fowler shot his career low round of 62, an ace on 16 by Jarrod Lyle.  Gainey out there scrapping out a couple low scores, Bill Haas playing excellent as well. Should be an exciting finish.

Hats off to Ricky Fowler - bustin' a terrific round today.

He is a good kid - hangs out with Bubba Watson and Ben Crane.

Has a good chance to not only be a great golfer, but an excellent human being.

Wish I was there after he hit his tee shot on the 16th. Gave away like 30 of his lime green puma hats to the crowd.

... I've been watching the coverage of the Waste Management tournament & checked the leaderboard ... Tiger isn't even listed.     Is he or is he not trying to make a comeback ?        One would assume you HAVE TO PLAY tournaments to make a comback ... is it possible to pick and chose which tournaments you play as a professional ?       Just don't understand how he could possibly miss this tournament ... if somebody knows, please explain to this newbie - thx.   Here's the leaderboard ...

I don't see why he should prioritize WM over any other tournament. He also played last week, and he rarely plays two weeks in a row. He is playing in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic next week, playing this week in the US would not have been ideal, especially now that the tournament is stretched into monday.

Interesting ... as someone new to golf - I had no idea that the pro's have a choice as to what tournaments they play.    It's unlike tennis or any other individual sport I can think of when you have to play each event.      I don't imagine those of lesser means are as independent & have the luxury of chosing which PGA tournaments they play ....

Considering the fact that there are tournaments almost every single week and they have to travel across Europe (World) or USA, I don't find it unreasonable. They have a limit on the minimum amount of tournaments they have to play. Tiger usually plays less than most, probably because he can afford it.

I am not familiar with Tommy Gainey who is leading the Waste Management Tournament.  What is his background?

Have you Googled him?

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.
