No offense, but what is the point of a thread like this? There simply are no absolutes when it comes to matching individual clubs with individual golfers. The best driver out there for you is the one which best matches your swing characteristics in terms of its loft, spin characteristics, face angle, shaft flex, bend profile etc. etc. Brand is entirely irrelevant to that calculation, unless bag cred is what actually matters to you most.

What are the best irons? What is the best putter? What's the best phone? What's the best car?

It's what best suits/fits you and your needs. If there was "one" best driver out there then obviously everyone would be gaming it. Finding the perfect combination of driver head and shaft is something all golfers seek but some just make up for it with their swing and timing.

So far my favorite is my Louisville Golf Classic 50's Dogwood driver.  I've been hitting it well and the sound is sublime, so I recommend you get one too.

If I had to guess, which I would have to do, I'd say it's the new R11. There seem to be a lot of non-TMAG guys with this in the bag. Even Luke Donald put a few out past 300 yards in the desert. Second place is the Louisville Golf Classic 50s Dogwood. Max has one and I'm gonna borrow the hell out of that thing next time out.

this is a good recommendation for the R11 but I liked the 910D3 better, talk about a quality driver. The 910's felt better at impact and have a great sound, the R11 sound is good but not as good. Heres the real kicker, the R11 TP's are 499.99!!!!!!, 910 D3's are 399.99 at 100.00 cheaper and you can get the real project X, RIP, etc without an upcharge. The non TP R11 at 399.99 is going to give you some stock 60 gram cheap blur

don't listen to max power.  my laminated maple Orlimar Solitaire, circa 1980s, is the schiznitz!  and i agree that the best out there is the one you hit the best with.  like my laminated maple that i hit 305 yards which is longer than any other driver i've ever hit.

For me, so far the Cobra S3 Max. But i also want to try the Tour Edge Exotics.
I tried their brand new Bazooka Driver and its too much 'offset' for me. But great bang4buck club. ($129).

I hit the pricier Calloway Razr well but the Cobra was equal or slightly better. The R11 was small notch below that.

You can't believe all the hype till you try it out on the range. I go to a Supershop where i can try out any club and it really

makes all the difference when you do that. Everyone is different.

    • Day 129: 5/4/24 Stack training but could not certify my warmup speed. Dealing with a pulled neck muscle. Chips and pitches at a local course for about 15 minutes.
    • Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.
    • First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot.  Really fun!!
    • Day 23: Rained all day, so no ball hitting. Worked indoors on top of the backswing feel, and also putted around the living room working on bead.
    • Played Four Oaks in Dracut today going back to the 2 man scramble match play format. My brother and I shot a team 81 winning 3 and 2. Had so many good shots today using a more centered turn. Seems to have really iginited my golf game. We'll see if I can keep it going.
