It's been two tough years for Williams given the problems Tiger has had on and off the course.  I'm not sure how Williams gets paid if Tiger doesn't play.  I'm guessing he gets a base salary, but he's not getting any bonus money for tournament wins right now.  They've been together a long time, so until it's confirmed from a reliable source I doubt it's true.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I do care, yes, when it comes to Stevie and Tiger because Stevie is perhaps the best caddie out there on tour. Give Tiger an average caddy, and he may miss a few shots here and there due to yardage miscalculations.

As for these "rumors", I'm definitely not believing them until there is a source. Stevie is one of Tiger's best friends and if he didn't leave him after the huge sex scandal, he's not going to leave him now. He knows Tiger will be coming back soon and he wants to be with Tiger when (if) he wins those 18th and 19th majors.

Fanny will always be the best caddie on tour

It also appears to me that the Steve/Tiger combo has either gone a bit stale or the friendship is not what it used to be, judging from their interactions on the course in recent years. Just something I personally picked up on.

Don't know what you're talking about. The only thing you might be seeing is the dullness because he hasn't been playing very well. I watch every minute of every golf tournament he plays in, and their relationship hasn't gone a bit stale at all. They communicate as good as ever and are still really good friends, as Tiger said just a few months ago on Jimmy Fallon.

It all comes down to money, when Tiger wins they both make big bucks.  When Tiger doesn't play, he still has huge endorsement deals to pay the bills with but not sure how Steve is compensated.  Steve and Tiger have been happy together because they made a lot of money together, we'll see how strong the friendship is if Tiger isn't able to come back this season.

Don't have him blocked anymore. And even when I did, I could still click on "View" to see his post. Blocking doesn't do much on this site.

    • G'day all. My name's Glenn and my mates call me Corbs. I'm a 50-something-year-old Aussie who HATED golf until COVID when I got utterly and irrevocably hooked. I'm playing three rounds a week and loving it. My best mate that I started golf with during COVID hit an Ace this week! Our foursome - including his son - all watched the ball disappear and we went absolutely mental! Only been playing a few years and improving quickly and trying to get to under 17 handicap this year. Thanks for having me!
    • You can still do it. It still helps you dial in the consistency, even if you add 10% later on. Your 70-yard swing might only read as 62 yards, but should go 62 every time.
    • Zero heel drop shoes make YOU put your weight where it needs to be, but oddly, shoes with heel drop (i.e. raised heels) tend to leave more weight back on your heels as you "sit into" the cushioning/raised up part.
    • We had a tough winter in Philly, but March has been very good. I have played 6 times already this month. I was in Jamaica in February and got three rounds in. The weather was beautiful and my caddie worked on my swing. He is the club caddie champ there and was very insistent regarding my swing and my putting stroke. Scores went 89, 86, 82. I was driving it 20 yards farther by the third round and my putting improved as well. The driving has translated to Philly pretty well. Putting, who knows until the greens speed up a little.
    • Day 11 (20 Mar 25) - More work with the Pw in the backyard today, focusing on the small adjustments I’ve been working to improve ball contact consistency.
