G'day all. My name's Glenn and my mates call me Corbs. I'm a 50-something-year-old Aussie who HATED golf until COVID when I got utterly and irrevocably hooked. I'm playing three rounds a week and loving it. My best mate that I started golf with during COVID hit an Ace this week! Our foursome - including his son - all watched the ball disappear and we went absolutely mental! Only been playing a few years and improving quickly and trying to get to under 17 handicap this year. You can still do it. It still helps you dial in the consistency, even if you add 10% later on. Your 70-yard swing might only read as 62 yards, but should go 62 every time. -

Zero heel drop shoes make YOU put your weight where it needs to be, but oddly, shoes with heel drop (i.e. raised heels) tend to leave more weight back on your heels as you "sit into" the cushioning/raised up part. -

We had a tough winter in Philly, but March has been very good. I have played 6 times already this month. I was in Jamaica in February and got three rounds in. The weather was beautiful and my caddie worked on my swing. He is the club caddie champ there and was very insistent regarding my swing and my putting stroke. Scores went 89, 86, 82. I was driving it 20 yards farther by the third round and my putting improved as well. The driving has translated to Philly pretty well. Putting, who knows until the greens speed up a little. -

Day 11 (20 Mar 25) - More work with the Pw in the backyard today, focusing on the small adjustments I’ve been working to improve ball contact consistency.
