I still have the stock ones on my clubs but they are getting quite slick now so I think I will have to change them. Just a matter looking around and finding ones I like.

Question..

I have never regriped my clubs before, but I have seen it done. From what I remember there isn't much to it. Would it be better for me to take a club or two somewhere to have someone show me the "correct" way of doing it first before I go for it on all my clubs?

Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

I just had my Hogan CFT irons regripped with Golfpride Tour Wraps. This has been my fav for years. I do like the new Winn putter grips.

Question..

I regrip for myself and all of my friends. There is nothing to it as long as you have a vise and a vise clamp (the rubber clamp for $2 at golfsmith.com is fine for this). Make sure you use plenty of grip solvent on the taped shaft AND inside the grip. Also, once you start sliding it on the shaft, don't stop until you have it on all the way or it could get stuck. Here is a link to a step-by-step guide: http://www.golfsmith.com/display_pag...stration5&ln;=N And here is one to a video demonstration: http://www.golfsmith.com/cm/display_...77d11a4f1480fc

I agree. It is very easy to do. In fact the last few times I have done it at my kitchen table without the vise. When I pour the solvent I just put a bowl in the sink and catch the extra solvent to reuse. Great videos. It really is that easy.

Am I crazy but I have had mine regriped with standard golf pride only to have them get hard within a few monthes. If I have my local shop get the same grip but from the OEM ie: mizuno they last much longer.

My Tour Velvets are tearing up my hands. Anyone have experience with Lamkin Torsion Control? They're $ .79 at the local sports store and it would be a lot cheaper if I wanted to re-grip my clubs this summer

    • Why?  You would never be waiting on me.  I am one of the fastest players you will ever run into on the golf course.  I am extremely fit and almost always the first to the green and the first to the next tee box.  When I play with my 16 year old step son who is a 3 handicap, he tells me to slow down.  Also,  what does it take me?  40 seconds round trip to walk off 30 yards?  (which is the max I walk off)  I like to have a look at the break around the hole which helps me to hole out chips which I did for birdie from 27 yards just the other day.  I also do this while waiting on my playing partners to catch up to me so you need not worry about being irritated, I can pretty much guarantee you that you could not keep up with me on the golf course.  🙂
