This is the year Dough becomes a man. By breaking par. Not this calendar year, this year of his life. Whatever year that is. 32?

I wouldn't want to screw myself out of an achievement by just limiting myself to a calendar year.

I happen to have occasion to be in Springfield on Saturday and was thinking about getting in a round over there. Windy Knolls is super close to where I need to be by roughly 6 p.m. (but that's not a hard time). Reid is also a possibility.

Hoping to drag my brother along, but not really holding my breath. Anyone who wants to come out is welcome.

Locust Hills is also a pretty nice course south of town and isn't very expensive. If you have some extra cash though, you can ride the hovercraft at Windy Knoll.

I was in London for the week (training) and got in two rounds at National Golf Links. With the exception of the cart paths and bunkers (full of water due to rain) the course was in great shape. I had never played here before but had seen it from the highway several times. $23 after 3pm for an all you can play twilight deal. I would definitely come back. Also played National Road one night. All I can say is if you want to score well and feel good about yourself you should play here. Kind of a goat track but it is still better than being at work.

I've been wanting to try Locust Hills and the prices sound pretty good, but it's on the wrong end of town as far as Saturday goes. Maybe if WK is a no go, it's a better option that Reid.

Cash isn't that plentiful, so the hovercraft is going to have to wait.

Cheap and easy are good things and I've heard both about that course. A bit far out for Saturday's purposes though.

So, back from NJ, the drive back took longer and almost got ran off the road 2x. Once was within 10 miles of home and was a super close call. I get home, unload the car and go inside to relax only to find my PS4 is gone.... Either it got borrowed without me being asked or my ******* brother stole it, AGAIN... This would make 2 PS4s and 3 PS3s that he's stolen from me. Trying to stay calm and wait to see which one it is. Either way, it's not the greatest day so far.

Nope, he took it and traded it for drugs, if he wasn't my brother....

Hey guys. A buddy offered me out at Jamaica Run Friday morning. Anyone play this course? Any helpful hints?

I've played it before. It's an OK course. Not the best, but not the worst. Some holes are a bit quirky in design. A GPS app or range finder would be helpful to know how far to hit your ball on these holes. One was a 90* dogleg where I think you have to hit an iron over a lake through a opening through a line of trees. I remember standing there (years ago) not having a clue which club to hit. There is another blind tee shot through a line of trees where you have no idea if your ball hit the fairway or not.

I hate 90* dog legs... I played 9 at a local dog track here after hitting the range and the 2 par 5's were 90* dog leg rights... Both of them ate me alive because I hit through the dog leg on the first and the second I tried to cut the corner... ESC on both those holes. Talk about a frustrating night, Par Par ESC Par ESC Par Bogey ESC Par.... The middle ESC was 2 OB drives off the tee from pull draws.. OB was pretty close to the left side of the fairway so even though they weren't all that far offline they were still gone. Weirdest thing about that course is Game Golf doesn't have the regular course but it has the par 3 course in the database... Would have loved to have that 9 holes recorded on GG because most of the holes I played pretty dang good.

Thanks @CarlSpackler for the heads up. Unfortunately, I have no techno toys. Maybe a little work on the old google earth may at least give me a clue or two. I'll look for the specific holes you mentioned and write myself a note or two Also, are you playing in the KHMA tourney this weekend?

I reckon it's a lot of course knowledge stuff. Luckily, I don't think the opposition has ever played this particular course either.

I am thinking about it. I asked Ian today what the format was. He wasn't sure. My neck and back are jacked up at the moment. I played par-birdie-par-quad(back goes out)-triple-par-bogey-bogey-bogey last night. Going to the chiro this afternoon so he can work his magic.

From what I understand, it's simple net. Eagle and nine on Falcon on Saturday. Hawk and nine on Falcon on Sunday. I saw something that said signups are thru tomorrow.

Either way, I hope you get your ailments sorted.
