I'm pretty sure it's stainless

Gamed my RBZ driver for the first time today. It is certainly a lot hotter than my 2007 Burner. This is significantly longer than my old driver, which took some getting used to. My dropkicks were going 250, I was impressed. Was 5-7 yards off the green on a 515 yard par five in two. Once I get used to the longer shaft, my average distance is going to go up a good amount.

Thanks.

I've always found CS455 steel to have a lighter, hotter feel - like the Titleist 910. But if RBZ COR is near the limit, I guess feel is not the be-all, end all

Yes you're correct, also more expensive Can also be found in the Bobby Jones fairway wood and CS 465 in the BJ hybrids.

Nice! Consider posting a user review for the driver http://thesandtrap.com/products/category/user-reviews

This might be a dumb question, but is there a way to adjust the face angle without affecting the loft?  I just bought the RBZ 9.5 driver, stock shaft regular and adjusted the loft to 8.75 after getting to much spin from the standard 9.5 setting.  The tech at Golfsmith adjusted it for me, but after demoing it at the course today I was hooking the ball a little to much for my liking; the RBZ has a draw bias to it.  Is there a way to adjust the face angle without affecting the loft?  Don't think you can, at any rate, a fantastic club which is so easy to hit and quite long and forgiving.

Who told you this, the guy at the store? About the draw bias I mean.

TM indicates draw bias for the standard RBZ on their website:

RBZ_Speed_Driver.png

....and neutral bias for the RBZ Tour:

RBZ_Tour_Driver.png

There is a difference between slight draw bias and a hook.

Unfortunately, TM makes very weak Stock Shafts. If you are a true regular, you might try stiff.

Or get a real shaft in the aftermarket.

mine came in from TM with the upgrade RIP Beta 60 X-stiff shaft...this club is nuts. distance is considerably longer than my R11 already and i'm just gettin used to it.

In my Titleist 2014 9.5" Staff bag:

Cobra Bio+ 9* Matrix White Tie X  - Taylormade SLDR 15* ATTAS 80X - Titleist 910H 19* ATTAS 100X - Taylormade '13 TP MC 4-PW PX 6.5 - Vokey TVD M 50* DG TI X100 - Vokey SM4 55 / Vokey SM5 60* DG TI S400 - Piretti Potenza II 365g

how does the draw bias work. i dont even see a guideline on my grip.

Either the neutral setting is a little closed compared to the Tour neutral or they put some weight towards the heel of the club

Thanks for the video. Win is easy on the eyes. There is another joke in there about distance gain, but we'll leave it alone.

Hopefully, as to the RBZ, they've only placed a bit of weight in the heel.

I am NOT a TaylorMade fan. I am not a fan of white clubs, however.......

Yesterday I get to the course for only the second time this year and I'm going through all the pleasantries with folks in the clubhouse when my pro/instructor starts into some kind of paid commercialized sounding speech about the new TM RBZ fairway woods. I really thought that he had either lost his mind or his ethics. He went on and on and on about this being the greatest FW ever. Ok, fine, whatever, not interested.

Then I read this thread, big mistake.

Well I hit the demo 15 degree 3 wood on the range today and HOLY CRAP! This thing is the greatest 3 wood I have ever hit. The extra shaft length seemed to make no difference at all. From the first swing it literally took off like a rocket. Usually it takes me a while to adjust to a new 3 wood, not this one. Even off the deck it was fool proof. The whole reason I went to the 4 wood was to hit well off the deck but damn, I am seriously impressed. I want them all 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9, yes you read that right, TM offers a 24 degree 9 wood! Just wish they came in black. Anyone considering new fairway woods owes it to themselves to demo these. TaylorMade seems to have captured lightning in a bottle. Well done TaylorMade, well done. I take back most of the bad things I have said about you.

DORAL, Fla. - The green 17 on Darren Clarke's visor may look like a tribute to St. Patrick's Day, but a love of Ireland and Guinness beer has nothing to do with the number. Along with other TaylorMade staff players at this week's WGC-Cadillac Championship, Clarke is sporting headwear with the 17 on it as part of a promotion for TaylorMade's new RocketBallz fairway woods.

The company says that the RocketBallz 3-wood is 17 yards longer than last season's Burner SuperFast 2.0 3-wood.

But this weekend TaylorMade plans to expand the promotion by having several players who wear Adidas apparel -- such as Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia -- wear polo jerseys with the player's name and a 17 on the back.

I just got back from picking up my RBZ Tour 3W (14.5*) with the Xcon 7 stiff shaft. Wow... I was hitting it 250+ off the deck according to Trackman. I'll post some photos shortly.

Here are the Trackman photos I snapped with my phone.  This is indoor using the RBZ 3W, 14.5* X-con 7 stiff shaft.  My swing speed with the 3W was between 95 to 97mph.

Here are some averages... These were hit off the deck - from a golf mat with variable lies of rough/fairway.  I hit it pretty solid with only a few misses.  Not bad for a hack like me!

    • The hype with the LAB Putters is something ive kept a keen eye on but i havent actually tried one... yet!! I use a SeeMore PCB and have done for around 8 years now and it was a gamechanger for me. It was the first time i had been fitted for a putter and from then ive totally bought into the fact that the technology in the putters makes a massive difference The only issue i have with LAB was that i did quiz them on Instagram what the difference between my PCB and a LAB Putter would be as the PCB from what i can find is just as balanced as the LAB Putters, however LAB couldnt tell me what the difference was and just said they didnt beleive in SeeMore Technology, but i wanted to know 'Why'!!  So yeah, the tech im sure works and think if anyone hasnt gamed a putter like LAB or SeeMore where custom fitting is crucial, then you gotta give it a go!
