What do you mean "gives a little"?

The Winn Lite series (Like the Hero) are soft but not mushy. I go up one size using them. They offer some shock absorption and are easier on arthritic fingers then most grips.

Wet they do feel a bit "greasy" but not so much as others out there.

I find that Winn grips are almost unusable for people with hard swings. I have a quick tempo and fast swing speed, and I find that I feel the shaft underneath when I swing fully. I like them on my putter, and I like how they feel, but at the top of the swing I lose my grip with them.

That said, many people like them for shock absorption, and I prefer cords without a glove, so my tastes are quite the opposite.

I just removed my mid size Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips and replaced them with standard size Lamkin Crossline Tour grips...I have big hands (XL Glove) but still prefer the feel and "whip action" of a standard grip....the mid size felt like thick sticks and I would at times pull/ hook shots -which is strange since my tendency is fade/cut /slice ...anyway I hated the damn things and glad I got rid of them...
