Swing coach at http://www.hsogst.com is claiming to be the best instructor in the world, giving out the goods used on the PGA Tour, and called out Haney and Leadbetter. He claims their programs are don't work. Claims to have taken a few guys from no where in the golf world to the PGA Tour.

Let me pour myself a lovely cup of tea from my celestial teapot and ponder this website..

Smells suspiciously like a hybrid of Christianity, Scientology and Golf so far.

Ba-ha-ha-ha-ha-haaaaaaaaa.........

Sorry, just got finished reading his qualifications.......

and, welcome to the forums.

sold me on "

I slipped once, while hanging a clock in my bathroom.  I hit my head on the edge of the sink.....that's when I came up with idea of time travel......the  Flux Capacitor!  With this knowledge, I will wisk you away to the future, where your future self can give tips on how to play those nasty shots.

So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama Jason J. Rutherford, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

After striking a golf ball properly with the Holy Spirit of Golf Swing Teaching Tour Pro Ball-Striking Tip, the feeling of a purely struck shot will explode throughout your body and the sound will resonate in your head forever. I cannot teach you that sound and feeling, but Holy Spirit of Golf Swing Teaching will teach you things which produces that sound and feeling.

1) Holy Spirit of Golf Swing Teaching Tour Pro Ball-Striking Tip - that is one helluva mouthful of words, consider something shorter and more to the point, try "bullshit", that will do it

2) Will I still be able to watch golf on TV once I have the sound resonating in my head forever?

The best part for me was the student "requirements":

He lost me with the name "Holy Spirit of Golf Swing Teaching".  I think Erik and should debunk his theories and get him to retire before he rips too many people off.

Would be more impressive and applicable if he hunted with a golf club and golf ball instead of a rock and his arm.

This knowledge combined with his unparalleled abilities to analyze and permanently correct faults in the human anatomy preventing the body from making a perfect golf swing and transferring the bodies full energy potential into the golf ball make him the top swing coach in the game today.

I don't know how he is going to do this, but it creeps me out.

He should call his method "Hit and Hope" or "Swing and Pray".

What an awesome find.

I think I may apply, just for kicks.  I want to see what happens.  I clicked on the "Become a Student" link.

I also clicked on the "Golf Tips" link, which is for people who cannot meet the prerequisites but still want a tidbit of knowledge.  Unfortunately that is $12.99.  But hey, it's for a "limited time only."

Edit: you guys have to read this page: http://www.hsogst.com/students.htm .  Among other things, notice that every student example was well on their way to becoming a successful golf pro, when something else got in the way.

Limousine Service:
Holy Spirit of Golf Swing Teaching owns and operates a limousine service free of charge for all active full time students. Being based out of Los Angeles we believe that a student should have a clear and focused mind. Driving to and from the golf course in traffic and battling aggressive drivers is the last thing a student should have to deal with before being asked to perform at the highest level. We expect first class results out of all students and believe all students should have access to first class transportation.
hahaha awesome.

A student averaged 280 yards off the tee swinging 100% of full power when starting this program. After working in the Holy Spirit of Golf Swing Teaching Program for only 3 months, he was measured on a launch monitor recording 140 mph club-head speed which resulted in a 398 yard drive, swinging at 60% of full power.

LOLOLOL

If this guy won at the track 3 times, then why did he only spend $20 on building a website?

IT HAS BEEN PROVEN THAT, JASON J. RUTHERFORD, IS ONE OF THE GREATEST, MOST TALENTED, AND UNKNOWN, GIFTED AND ANOINTED ATHLETES THAT EVER LIVED!!

  1. As a young child (ages 8 to 14) to obtain food I would routinely hunt and kill wild animals from great distances (squirrels, rabbits, birds, frogs, etc.) with nothing more than a rock and my arm.
  2. Was told at the age of 15 , I was ready to play professional baseball.
  3. At the age of 17, I struck out 19 batters in one baseball g ame.
  4. As a quarterback playing semi-pro football I completed a 77 yard JUMP PASS in a game (football flew in the air the entire 77 yards).
  5. Threw a baseball clocked on radar at 106 mph and I also broke the best catcher arounds wrist through a catcher's mitt trying to catch me.
  6. Made the JV basketball team of a University at the age of 39 playing with 18-23 year olds.
  7. Was scouted to play professional baseball at the age of 48 . I turned down the offer as they requested I play two years of minor league ball prior to calling me up which my body could not have handled.
  8. Was given the winning numbers by God for an exacta, 3 years in a row, on my 47th, 48th, and 49th birthdays in the 9th race at Santa Anita Racetrack.
  9. Discovered heavyweight fighter Michael Grant while he was still playing football and had no professional boxing experience. Michael went on to be the #3 ranked heavyweight fighter in the world at one time and obtained a title shot against Lennox Lewis.
  10. Playing golf at the age of 62 shot a 66 with an injured body that barely resembled my former anatomy on a course with a rating of 73.9. Also recorded a hole in one the very next day while shooting a 33 on the front side and being forced to quit the round due to injury.
  11. After failing to qualify for the regular PGA Tour due to many injuries and hand surgeries, I went on to coach a collegiate team who was at the bottom of the pack and unheard of in the golf world, to a National Championship.
  12. I was blessed with the ability to predict the exact direction a golf ball will travel and the shot shape by simply observing the club-head passing through the golf ball at impact. This ability gives me a substantial advantage over other instructors as I can quickly diagnose the fallacies in an individual's golf swing.
  13. I am an ordained Minister and Graduate of Pastoral Ministry. As a follower of Christ I have been called to a healing ministry and routinely lay hands on the sick and those who are under attack. While following the PGA and Senior Tours I laid my hands upon a number of the regular PGA and Senior Tour Professionals who subsequently went on to win their following tournament after my hands were laid upon them. I Teach for Christ and all honor, glory, and recognition for this program goes to my Heavenly Father and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Unbelievable....

    • I believe that losing a tour card is too extreme but definitely agree that more needs to be done to prevent slow play.
    • Its way past time both tours  have  major  penalties for  slow  play. I  hate  it when they say" This group is  on the  clock". Big damn deal. Issue  penalties. Maybe Hull is a  bit too harsh but  its time a slew  of  2 stroke  penalties start  being  issued.     Charley Hull is fed up with slow play on the LPGA, so she offered a ‘ruthless’ solution “I’m quite ruthless, but I said, ‘Listen, if you get three bad timings, every time it’s a tee shot penalty; if you have three of them, you lose your Tour card instantly.’ I’m sure that would hurry a lot of people up, and they won’t want to lose their Tour card. That would kill the slow play, but they would never do that.” Who knows if that will work. But if it does not, maybe the PGA Tour should adopt Hull’s idea. The LPGA should, too, or at least assess penalty strokes for slow play. Five-hour rounds for a final group on Sunday is unacceptable and a quick way to lose interest and engagement from fans.

    • A hair under 190. It was pretty downhill, though, so I think we were playing between 180-185 to the pin. My 6 iron went 187 according to shot scope and ended up 18 feet away.
    • That's a tough pin on 14 at TR, had to make the hole play much longer, how far was that shot? I've only played that hole with a front pin.
