Making it sound like an after school special.  Nice. Not that I really care because I wasn't going to win anyway, but technically the 2nd post is a correction of the first post and not a "multiple entry".  Also, another person was allowed to edit his post...just saying.

Note: I'm not arguing or whining, just being slightly difficult, so please do not take any of this back and forth as a sign of disrespect.

Have a nice day.

Never seen so many low post count "members" - seems alot of guys joined the forum for a chance to win a driver.     Probably not a bad idea in hindsight ...

It's not a bad way to get new members...also, it could be one easy way around the "one entry" rule.  Not saying that is actually happening with any of these, but the possibility is there.  It does seem a little suspicious, but then again, I'm already DQ'd so what do I know.

One of the reasons we do things like this. We'll have some bigger ones here in the future, too. :)

FWIW, someone PMed me with similar thoughts and wondered if people were registering second or third accounts. The answer to that is that the rules state a member needs to be in good standing. Should someone with a low post count win, we'll do due diligence to make sure it's not a second account from someone, as that would be in violation of the rules of the site and would place such a member not in good standing.

See above. You posted while I was writing my response. It's not at all likely to happen, as creating a second account is grounds for immediate banning.

I immediately thought the same exact thing. I also thought someone could have made 90 something (or the size of the field) accounts just to have one guess for the entire field, lol! So if they only have the one post that's stating their guesses what happens?

    • _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one. Day 1, May 4 2026.  At home today, spent nearly an hour in my practice room, hitting about three dozen practice balls, primarily with my 6-iron.
    • Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.
    • I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
