I was watching Golf Channel last night and the replay of the LPGA event was on...one of the leaders was using Volvik balls. I checked out their website and looks like they have 6 or 7 different models. Was curious if anyone out there has tried these and can provide some insight on performance, etc.?

In the bag:

TaylorMade R11 Driver (10.5 stiff stock shaft)

TaylorMade R11 3wood (15 degree stiff stock shaft)

Adams IdeaPro 3i hybrid (20 degree)

Titleist DCI 4-PW (photo)

Cleveland CG15 wedges (52, 56, 60)

Odyssey White-Hot 2-Ball (Superstroke oversize grip)

Bushnell Tour V2 Rangefinder

Ping Hoofer 2012 Bag

I tried the crystal ball about 7 years ago.........it was okay for the price I paid.

I found the clear cover was a bit hard for my game.

They seem to be a little on the "girly" side.

So they seem to be designed for a 'slightly' slower swing speed than a tour pro... up to 100mph... Wasn't that how the Precept Laddy took the world by storm a few years ago? It was a lower compression ball originally designed for "Ladies". A few seniors got a hold of it and all of a sudden, "Ladies" became "Laddy's" and sales shot through the roof. Now ALL balls are designed with a lower CR. And getting rid of the "macho" factor of those that SAY they swing at 120 and need a proV1, they probably swing at 90 and could use a different ball anyways. They're priced a lot cheaper than ProV1's as well.

My buddy who is always looking for a Magic ball tried them once.  He gave me a couple of sleeves.  I have nothing bad to say about them but they are just another golf ball.

I had a friend that tried them.  He liked his oild balls better but he said that the covers were hlolding up well.  He didn't get any extra distance compared to his old ball.

I watched that too and was impressed by their sponsorship of ladies golf..

I am Captain of my club. Went on their local agency website approx 3 weeks ago,, asked for a trial with a view to stocking their balls, To date..no response.
