68, on a par 61 executive course a couple years ago. On my regular course, which is a par 72, I shot a 79 earlier this year.

A 74 at 6084 par 71 layout. One double bogey marred round. Key to score was a new 5 hybrid, 26 degree that I used to replace 5 and 6 irons, or 155 to 170 yards. Hit it 7 times in round with only one dud going badly off line. Its a Nickent-- I tried a cheap 5h off ebay--a Pinemeadow Excel that was very inconsistent; what do you expect for $ 30 new? Also was putting great with belly putter which later in the year I started

yipping despite being anchored. I now use a standard length Rife 2 bar and at the moment I am yipless.

64 three times on a tough par 71, 7100 yd track that I get out to a lot. I always seem to miss the putts for a 63! Gotta keep practicing.

I'm assuming you used to be a LOT better than a 4 hcp to do that!

I think he has a minus thingy in front of that 4.

Mine was a 74 on a wide open Oklahoma City course but with a steady 15-20 mph wind. Next day I shot a 75 on it too. Next lowest round was a 75 on a much tougher course. Shot 35 on the front and was even through 15 then bogied the last 3 holes when I realized just how well I was doing.

With those scores it should be a +. And someone playing off +4 should know that......

I've shot 70 three times now. Twice on a short (6200 yard) par 72 course with a 68 stroke rating* and once on a par 72 course with a 70 stroke rating. So my lowest differential so far is a 0.

(* Personally don't find this course any sort of bargain, score wise. With the aggressive rating, you're effectively 4 over standing on the first tee and it's well tight, with OB down one side or the other of almost half the holes. The prevailing wind also funnels through the dune field it's located in like a friggin' hairdryer. Guys who play out of there tend to have rock hard handicaps.)

I am a +4. When I entered a +4 into the handicap thing when I signed up, it wouldn't show the plus, it only showed as 4.0

Shot a 96 the weekend before last with 2 birdies in the same round. I was pretty stoked. I'm excited to play my next round to see if I can do it again, hell, I'm happy if I just break 100, haha.

Shot my best ever 80 on Monday afternoon. I also set a new low score for 9-holes with a 37 on the back-9. Thought there might be a chance I would use the same sort of pattern the first time I broke 90 back in 2006 when I shot a 47 on the front then shot 42 on the back.

77 on my home course in PA(73 rating, 138 slope).

I shot a 76 once in Florida on pretty easy course. I don't count that.

    • Day 444 - 2025-12-18 Light day of hotel room work. GEARS Summit v2.0 today. Good day.
    • Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.
    • I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.
    • I found it entertaining, but the announcing was lousy.  How did the measuring on the final shot start with Rory being closer and being told he won, and then with no explanation it turns out Scottie won?  Weird.
    • Day 128 12-18 Worked on rotation and getting to lead side. Still working on the flow feeling while doing that. Recorded swings.
