Definitely the OB. A bad putt is one extra stroke, an OB tee shot is 2, plus the demoralization that comes with starting the hole on such a bad note.

I voted the same way. It just starts your hole off on the wrong foot. More likely to miss a putt after that anyway, so I feel like "you're still away" will likely come with the first.

You better bring your chainsaw with you.

Like a prom date,  all lip and no hole.

It is when she says "I don't do anything on the first date". Meaning she's flapping her mouth too much. LOL

Or could be this one: "had it in her mouth, until her dad walked in".

Hypothetical situation:  In some type of team competition if I can two putt we win outright and three putting means a playoff.  I putt up to about 28 inches and am confident I can pop that putt into the back of the cup.  I walk up, address the ball, and am about to make the stroke when one of my team members panics and blurts out " take your time ".  Wow thanks dude worst possible timing for saying that, way to take me out of the moment and insert doubt into my mind.

What's three words you'll hear on the golf course but never hear in the bedroom?

Bite, you bitch!

“You don't have the game you played last year or last week. You only have today's game. It may be far from your best, but that's all you've got. Harden your heart and make the best of it.”

~ Walter Hagen

    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
    • Day 31 (2 Jan 26) - Usual Friday men’s group shootout - good day of shot making  as most shots were right on line to the target point.  Putter and green reads were solid with some great par saves and a really tricky birdie.
    • Day 13 - 2026-01-02 One hour short game work. Chipping balls to different targets, compass putting drill with 2-3% slope.
