What ball(s) is in your bag?

Seems like a lot of you have 2-3 dozen balls in your bag at any given time. That a lot weight to be carrying lol For me I like ProV's. I carry two sleeves and generally after the round I have 12 balls as our rough is high and walking you just find them. Ps. Most found ball is ProV and Pinnacle

Just cleaned out my golf bag's ball pocket and took some Srizon AD333's out of the cabinet and will put them in play starting Monday. One of those sales  (2 dz for $25) that was too hard to resist last year......

Bridgestone e5.

They are exactly what they claim to be. They have incredible control. My approach shots with a full swing wedge will almost always generate some stop and a little backspin. Even a short SW will give me a drop and stop. And those approach shots dig into the green real well. This is always being done by me, a bogey golfer. I get about the same distance out of them off the tee as I have with other top brands. But I have never had so much control on my approach shots.

I try to play the same ball for a few months at a time.  Earlier this year I played some Nike NDX balls that I got for Christmas last year and they were ok.  Now I am playing the Nike PD Soft (green box).  I like these better around the greens and they also stay in the fairway for me.  Last year I played the Nike PD Longs, but they were harder to keep in the fairway.

I have some Noodle Long and Soft in the bag. I also have a bunch of mixed used balls in the extra pocket for people that bum balls That said, I just played couple of Wilson Staff Duos last week and really liked them a lot. I want to get a dozen and play em to see if first impressions were accurate. If so, they're are the new Ball Of Choice.

I started the year playing proV1's, realized that I was not good enough for them (and too poor to afford them) and have been playing different balls for the rest of the season. I am playing the Nike PD Long balls, and actually play pretty well with them. I am always on the lookout for different, decently cheap balls.

Any tour caliber ball will do.  I play them for how they behave on the greens.

Originally was playing the E6 too much roll on greens, then the q star better, but did not like the feel off the putter.

Now I only carry one ball in my bag the Taylor Made Penta TP5, so good around the greens and I love the feel off the putter.  I eventually realised that most of my wasted shots were missing putts and around the greens, so thats where the Penta comes into play for me, my green game is much more solid.  While the E6 was straighter, id rather have a ball with better greenside control, more shots are saved there.

A friend suggested Nike Vapor so I tried them. I liked them pretty well. Recently I played Titleist NXT tour, they were pretty good too. I tried to play Pro V's, the distance was great and I like what they did on the greens, but I'm just not ready for that caliber of ball. I'm still learning to finish with the same ball I started with....LOL.

Knowing which particular ball feels heavy would certainly help answer your question. Most likely you are playing a ball designed for faster swing speeds. I've never played the gamer ball.. .if that is what you are currently playing.

i might join you soon with a different ball. i've kind of shed my sidespin on drives and long irons so i don't think i'm benefiting as much from the e6 as i might have been when i had a bad slice and i do waste a ton shots with balls that roll basically as far as they went in the air on the green. every once in a while i'll hit a great shot that checks up and ends up close to where i wanted it and when i go up to mark it i realize it's an e5. (i got a big used bucket of e series so i'll randomly pull any of the three)

i have some really nice balls that i've found so i might take them out with me to the executive course i play (where i lose one ball at most, and usually none) and give them a shot to see if my score goes down and spin goes up.

for a mid priced ball it's impressive, and doesnt hurt as much as a pro-v when a few out of the dozen turn out to be rebelious and run astray!!!!!

I'm still using random found balls and range balls on water holes, but finally broke down and picked up a box. I'm going to try out the Top Flite Freak. They are rocks, but should go a bit longer and straighter.

I carry ~ 6 gamers (ones I'll play in "competition") and about 6 practice balls. I pick up randoms and will play any newly lost tour ball. I empty out the rocks every couple weeks. Not sure why anyone would carry more than about a dozen on purpose. I've played enough tour balls to know what each one feels like and it's not hard to adjust. Typically there is no adjustment required off the tee or with full approach shots. I've tried to like Titleists over the years, but to be honest, anything other than the V1 and V1x leaves me disappointed. I do like Bridgestones, but so far only really the B330 and B330S.

Gamer V2s are what I'm using.. yes. Those.. along with these..

Just feel so heavy for me.. but only on the driver. My irons, wedges and putting feels great.. I do well. But the teeing off is what hurts me. The heavyness really kills the accuracy and distance. Is it ball speed/swing speed? I'm oblivious to all this.
