He has recently been playing the MP-59's.  He did use the 63's for a while.  MP-64's probably feel a lot similar to his 63's.

Thought he used the 32s, then the 62s, tried the 63s and didn't care for them (in spite of the glowing reviews he gave them while on the driving range in a few Mizuno sponsored youtube videos) then either stayed at or went to number 1 in the world with the 62s back in the bag. He's pretty much played like garbage since retiring the 62s.

Yep my mistake, I had the image of the MP62's in my head but said 63

I wonder if they were the same set of 62s the entire time? I know if "groove wear" is the deciding factor on whether or not my old Mizunos are playable then they're good for another 20 years easily (it helps when you hit the ball all over the face).

Incidentally, Luke Donald is switching swing coaches too -- leaving Pat Goss who he's been with since college. He first tried to join Sean Foley's stable but Foley said he had too many top guys on the books already and recommended Chuck Cook -- who coaches Jason Dufner -- instead. Anyway, back to the sticks ...

According to Jason Sobel's Twiiter, Luke Donald asked to work with Sean Foley and Foley said no.........Im sure more will come of this. Maybe he has a full roster?

What happened to Donald.  When Tiger dropped out of first this guy was top 3 and even #1 for a brief period.  Is he even top 10 anymore?  He just seems to have fallen.  Never really in contention.

Well he was first in a bit of a vacuum and he got there by being really consistent without any real periods of dominance.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

    • Day 100 - 2025-01-08 Hit balls for twenty minutes before I put Natalie through an Operation 36 at 200 yards without benefit of a driver. And putting on a sim is always a bit wonky.
    • Day 7 - Green-side work for 45 minutes. Start line with string putting. Speed control on 3-4' putts with phantom hole. Sh%tty lie chip practice.
    • I don't follow the LIV tour so for starters somebody would have to tell me that they are coming. Even if tickets were free I probably wouldn't go. I'm just not interested.  I've been to a fair amount of PGA Tour Tournaments in my life. I've even attended two US Opens... One men's, and one women's. I've been to college and high school tournaments as well.  I'd actually be more interested in attending a Korn Ferry Tournament or an Epson Tour Tournament. Which reminds me the Nationwide Chlidren's Hospital Championship in September is right down the street. I should get tickets.
    • LIV golf was pretty close to me in 2023, at the same course that hosted the 2023 Senior PGA.  I didn't go to either one.  I do know a few people who went to the LIV event, and they said it was pretty well attended and pretty well run.  If I had free tickets, I might show up, but I'd probably have to drive 10 miles to park to get a shuttle to come back to within 5 miles of my house.
    • As long as "in town" means a drive of less than an hour, I'd probably go.  I've never actually been to a pro golf event, so it would be a novelty. Presumably, they'd be playing on a course that I'm not normally allowed to visit, so there would be an interest in just going to see the place. My tolerance for traffic is pretty minimal, so if massive headaches are predicted it would dampen my enthusiasm.
