Anyone upgrade to iOS 6 yet? I'm putting off the update because I'm using an iPhone 4, so I won't get the turn by turn. I like the do not disturb feature as well as the iCloud updates, but would rather keep Google Maps as is. Any compelling reasons to do otherwise?

While I do find the new maps not as good as google maps I don't think it is that bad. I think with all the other upgrades it's worth getting ios 6 because the maps isn't that bad to use.

I also have the iphone 4..and upgraded to the new iOS.  So far so good..I finally got to mess around with the iPhone 5..seriously..I don't see much of a visual difference..perhaps a bit bigger screen..but nothing to write home about.  I plan on getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 instead..now that's a screen.

I'm don't like the new maps, but otherwise the upgrade is fine. The new maps isn't so bad that I'm wishing I hadn't done it.....just not as good as the old one.

I guess I'm in the minority but I very rarely used the Maps, so it's no big deal to me.  Either have built in navigation or a Garmin already in both vehicles so never had the need.

Same for me, both my cars have built in navigation so I don't use the map feature on my iPhone, so the loss of Google Maps doesn't bother me in the least.  Odd, but when my wife upgraded to iOS6, her Google Map app did not get removed and still works.  The other 5 iPhones in the family did lose the app, I guess she is special.

Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?

My 5 should be shipping soon so ... iOS 6 for me it is. Anyway, I've got a GPS in my car and was planning on using that anyway to conserve data, so I don't think I'll be missing much. I suppose if you want to ride it out with iOS 5, Google's own Maps app should be out at some point.

The Maps are fine. They've got some weird things in them but I haven't seen them yet and ALL maps services have weird things in them early on. The more people use them the faster they'll get better.

Panorama was introduced just in time for my trip to Scotland, so I'm REALLY glad I updated. :)

I'm going to stick with 5 for now. No ads on YouTube and the old maps app has transit and walking which is useful for NYC and big cities.

I just upgraded my iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5, not overly impressed but the battery life is better, the apps launch faster and the larger screen is better for video and adds an extra row of icons for apps per screen.  The new interface makes it incompatible with my iHome and other docks until I shell out $30 for an adapter.

As for IOS 6, it was a lackluster upgrade.  Losing YouTube was not a big loss for me, still launches in Safari, and I use Navigon for car GPS so not concerned about Apple versus Google Maps but I was hoping for more changes to IOS.  Still waiting for a delete all from mail app, and I still can't delete the newstand app or stuff it into a folder so I don't have to see it.
