Outside of golf? This takes me some thought...

Professionally, I'm in computers; working on a PhD in CompSci and employed summers. They used to be a hobby that I enjoyed immensely, and I do still get some enjoyment from it, but not as much. It makes me wonder if the Tour pros enjoy golf as much as I do Otherwise, I enjoy good alcohols. I'm a big fan of rums, wines, and scotch. There's also great enjoyment to be had by watching anything by Joss Whedon and most of Matt Groening's work.

You're into

drifting ? How much do you spend on tires every week?? I've got a modded Impreza, but as much fun as drifting looks there is no way I could afford the rubber it eats. Aside from that, my wife and I race motorcycles (Observed Trials), I'm a boxer and fencer (epee), and a rabid wine collector. Oh and I've got a corgi, which means I spend an hour or two playing manditory fetch every day

Raising my daughter has become a pretty fun and time consuming hobby. I am into music (listening and playing), sports, movies, video games, board games, poker, cooking, beer and bourbon.

I am into just about any and everything. Problem is...I am not really good at any one thing...just sorta ok at a lot of things.

I like building computers as well. I've taken some scrapped P3 systems and set them up as temporary rigs for friends and family who were in between machines.

I'm into weight lifting a lot, as well as the occasional round of bowling. Not really good at it, though - I tend to go 9-0, 9-0, 9-0 down the stretch to a really small score. Sometimes I play poker - but I've never, ever won at it. Ever. Once in a blue moon I'll work on a computer - I'm no genius but I know my way around them, usually.

Riding my motorcycles, I have a Harley FXDWG for cruising and a Yamaha R1 for track days. Also taking my 4 1/2 yr old grandson to various events such as monster truck shows, carnivals, etc. Took him to the driving range with me today, he can't hit the ball very far but he sure tries & enjoys it a lot.

I have two sons. My oldest will be 13 (holy crap) in September and my youngest is 9 1/2. The older is in scouts and the younger plays just about every sport. Basketball ended 1 week before soccer started. Soccer ended 3 days after his first baseball practice. He also had a basketball camp this summer. From September to April I am the Den Leader for my younger son's Cub Scouts. I did 4 years with my older one as well. As you can see, that takes up the majority of my time.

I play basketball in a league from December through March and my wife and I bowl from September through April. I like to do home improvement. I finished my own basement and built my shed from scratch. I also have done several projects for other people including finishing my brothers basement and building rooms in my bosses basement.

I love to read. Everything from John Feinstein to Jimmy Buffett (yes, the singer). I finished the new Harry Potter book in 3 days. Unfortunately I was busy so it took longer than I would have liked. It was the best one yet.

I am a rabid sports fan and watch my favorite teams every chance I get.

I really enjoy playing bass guitar and guitar. I also like collecting bass guitars, if anybody has some vintage basses they want to get rid of let me know. I am a huge sports nut, UND Sioux hockey, Minnesota Wild, Twins, Vikings, TWolves, & Kansas Jayhawks basketball get plenty of my attention and time. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time at our lake cabin jet skiing and relaxing. However, all these have somewhat taken a back seat to my new son. He is somewhat dominating my life at this point. Oh yeah, I suppose I shouldn't forget spending quality time with my wife

    • The term I hear most often is "double teeing" which means the course/club has starting times from both the #1 and #10 tee.  I have encountered this many times and we know if we are the first group off #10, we may well get to #1 and have to wait because there are groups still with tee times yet to tee of #1.  In most instances, where the course/club has a starter, he normally explains this situation.  In this case, the pro advised what you would could/would encounter making the turn to #1.  And, that is exactly what happened.  Probably would have been wise to talk to the pro after playing back 9 and ask when you could go off #1 since apparently that club does not double tee.   Regardless, the outburst towards the other group was uncalled for.  And, I don't blame the member for being upset.  As a member of a private club, you are responsible for the actions of your guest.  I have played many times as a guest in the UK and I am pretty damn sure my host was responsible for my actions while at the club.  I know at the clubs I have belonged to here in the US, that is the way it is.  As a matter of fact, the member may find himself being brought before management and facing possible suspension.  So, I don't blame him for being upset.  However, as the host, he really should have stepped up and put a stop to the OP's actions.  JMHO
    • Day 32: worked for about 10 minutes on my drill. Filmed it as well for a check in. I think it’s slightly better but still seeing some issues.
    • Day 44 (26 Dec 25)  -  played in the Friday men’s shootout with a twist - used the Toney Penna persimmons and MacGregor blades - had a blast playing these clubs.  They really help in zoning in on making solid ball contact.  Scoring was solid - had several looks at birdie and had a few par saves.  Overall a day of focused course management.
    • Day 2: 2025.12.27 Eighteen holes at Kauri Cliffs. Focusing on trying to keep flex in right leg during backswing.
    • Day 136 12-26 Had a different practice planned today but life happened. Worked on "wide to wide" and still working on remaining flowy. Starting the club head in front of the ball as a drill, is helping with the flow of the swing.
