Ok... This is where I'll post about the additions/subtractions made.  I'm a Browns fan - so this is one of the few times during a calendar year that I can cheer about our undefeated season.

Maybe we can get a picture of you and Brady in the same pose.

So far, they're doing a good job. Too bad about Akers, but can't be a high paid kicker if you can't get it through the uprights.

It is really too bad we stand to lose Goldson. There are rumors we plan to replace him with Ed Reed, but that is not a good swap.

I'm just hoping the G-men do not lose Cruz - a year of him and a healthy Nicks could be scary.

Browns signed Kruger to a 5yr $40m contract.  Well, well... I hope this dude is more than a role player for that kind of cheddar?

Giants bring back Aaron Ross, lose Bennett to the Bears. Now we need a TE.

The 9ers and KC have made the trade official. Alex Smith for a 2nd round pick. I think that was probably about the best they could do for him. Both parties come out happy with this. Smith can try to win the job in KC and the 49ers get the 34th overall pick.

My friends in Missouri are excited about getting Chase Daniels. If Alex doesn't look good pretty quickly there will be pressure to give Chase a shot.

Ok, the Browns picked up another defensive lineman.... Wow.  $74M for two free agents. We still need a go to possession WR (IMO), CB and a G.

The Cleveland Browns made another impact move to improve their pass rush Tuesday, agreeing to a five-year, $34 million contract with defensive tackle Desmond Bryant, NFL.com's Albert Breer reported . Bryant is guaranteed $15 million in the deal, which came hours after the Browns locked up former Baltimore Ravens defensive end Paul Kruger with a five-year, $40 million agreement.

The Browns signed another defensive player in Quentin Groves (OLB, 6-3, 265lb).... This one on the cheap... 2yrs, totaling $2.8m.

It looks like they are really trying to sure up the defense with vets via free agency, and will draft a CB/WR/TE in April??

Reggie Bush in Honolulu Blue for the next 4 yrs.  Whoo hoo, first back since Sanders to have a 1,000 yd season back to back.  A solid running game might let Detroit become more balanced.

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.

Infinitely worse. Then again, I've read that the Pats are among the finalists for Amendola, a more-than-suitable replacement (don't think for a second that I'm not already drunk off the Amendola Kool-Aid).

    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
