Great looking backswings @nevets88!

Thanks. I think if there's one thing I learned in 2014, it's figuring out how to get the club better on plane for the backswing from the dtl view and if it goes off track, I can get it back relatively quickly. Key #1, head forward and back-ish on the fo view for backswing , but I guess that's probably something to clean up later if that's possible/priority.

Trying to get rid of some of my old man finish. BS too long, but getting that right hip a tad more up and forward. Just a nudge I think.

More gooder. Think "explosive" too.

Left wrist better? Can't tell (FO - need DL view for that of course).

Could be better. Don't let it cup so much, keep feeling of a little arch in transition and entire downswing.

Trying to get hips more active, forward and up, wrist a little more bowed for longer, modicum of success?

Getting hips more active > not shallowing shaft from A4, steep from top here. Need to blend it all together?

Face very closed. Not worry - clean up later?

Is this like a set up for what is to come, so if you don't play well the next time out you can say that you didn't activate your hips enough? :)

Lack of practice, perhaps reason for losing a little of the shallowing move from A4? Steep. Trying for more wrist bow and hip action seems to steepen shaft on DS. Hips, shoulders tad more closed @ impact compared to early Dec? Feel like being used more than before. Need to get the shallowing back.

Ran into the YouTube didn't play all frames from 120 fps iPhone video problem. Last time uploaded 120 fps to YT, all frames played. Alternate vid editor @ 25% speed, stutters and ghosts. No good. Upgrade iMovie.

Hips up and forward, lay down club a little earlier (feels like before end of BS), shorter BS, stand taller. Thinking lay down shaft, go hips.

Hips forward better, up, not so much. It's like a corset is holding back hips and midsection. Will try more hip up next time. Windy day.

Hip forward and up. Thinking revolve around L hip. Posture and shorter BS as per @iacas . Club layoff as per @iacas and Preston.

Would exaggerating getting your hips more forward in a drill at A5-6 help the finish?  I am working on a similar thing, slide hips from A4 to 5, rotate right hip from A5 - 8.  Stephan wants to see my knees closing faster and the slide/rotation does that.

Yeah, I think I can get my hips a little more forward and rotate earlier and up? Also, I'm the opposite of stupid monkey. I try to be stupid, but I micro manage my swing. Can't. Stop. Being. Type A. :-) I don't ever expect to get the monkey badge, as much as I try. :-( Short of a lobotomy. Or hypnosis. :-)

To be clear, @nevets88 , those look good and you can continue to improve that, but nothing about that should stop you from playing well right now, either. :)

    • Thanks for the feedback. @StuM, we are a "club without real estate" so no facilities or pro. We have a membership of around 185 players and we only play together as a group at our tournaments, which are held at public access courses. A group of us setup the tournaments, collect the money and dole out the prizes.
    • In general, granting free relief anywhere on the course isn't recommended.  Similarly, when marking GUR, the VSGA and MAPGA generally don't mark areas that are well away from the intended playing lines, no matter how poor the conditions.  If you hit it far enough offline, you don't necessarily deserve free relief.  And you don't have to damage clubs, take unplayable relief, take the stroke, and drop the ball in a better spot.
    • If it's not broken don't fix it. If you want to add grooves to it just because of looks that's your choice of course. Grooves are cut into putter faces to reduce skid, the roll faced putter is designed to do the same thing. I'm no expert but it seems counter productive to add grooves to the roll face. Maybe you can have it sand-blasted or something to clean up the face. Take a look at Tigers putter, its beat to hell but he still uses it.
    • I get trying to limit relief to the fairway, but how many roots do you typically find in the fairway? Our local rule allows for relief from roots & rocks anywhere on the course (that is in play). My home course has quite a few 100 year old oaks that separate the fairways. Lift and move the ball no closer to the hole. None of us want to damage clubs.
    • Hello, I've been playing a Teardrop td17 F.C. putter for many years and love it. It still putts and feels as good or  better than any of the new putters I've tried and it's in excellent condition except the face has dings in it ever since I bought it used that kind of bother me. I was just wondering if it's possible to have some really shallow horizontal grooves milled into the face on a "roll face" putter. I think I would rather spend some money on it instead of trying to get used to a new putter.  Thanks
