If it's the last one, that's not luck, that's a part of golf.  He didn't execute and he went home.  She's no luckier than Matt is.  She's no luckier than Brent was that he wasn't sent home the episode before.

Lucky in the sense that she's the worst golfer in the final four and gets to tee off from the ladies tee.

She tees off from the advanced tees because she's a female........ And it's not the reason why she's in the final. Do we really need to have this discussion again? Your logic is ridiculous.

It's not an actual match when the players are teeing off at different places. Woman against woman or man against man is apples and apples, but woman against man is apples and oranges unless they drive from the same tee. But I suppose it's good enough for the average TV viewer with only a passing interest in golf.

If love to see you go against one of the oranges lololol, you'd be the kiwi.

You're quite the sexist.

You have a distorted view of reality, sexist or not.

They are no longer "ladies tees". They are forward tees. #whilewereyoung. #teeit forward. In the chart the usga put together you should not play over 6000. Yards if you don't drive over 250

This thread just got more interesting... Why would anyone complain that Taylor is still on the show? Can't compute... I liked Brett...I feel he was the better golfer. But I'd much rather look at Taylor in the finale.

    • Yeah, watched Geoff Ogilvy's bit on Fried Egg about his conversation with some bogey golfer finding #2 most fun to play and the irony in it being so.  Makes sense.
    • So, I think the idea behind it is that the ball is not perfectly smooth (obviously). So, on shorter putts, it is better to hit that point on the ball because it gets the ball into a better roll. You are not compressing the ball with a short putt, so it would act more similar to if you were hitting let's say a 100 sided dice. On longer putts, you might be compression the ball so more of the ball impacts the club face and then that single point doesn't matter.  It might be something he made up, could be a confidence thing, could be a legit thing. Maybe it matters more with how good the greens they putt on.  Also, we are talking about a single point here, and the putter face angle, path, ect.. will change a bit on each putt. So, it isn't like you are hitting that spot exactly in the same way.  Not sure it is worth the effort with so many variables in play.
    • Looking at the aerial, there is very few holes were short is bad. You can always putt from off the green, so it makes the short game easier. I can see where the big number is out more often. It's not really a course where you can easily go low at either. The sand down there is super easy to play out of.
