Yeah, my 6 yr old boy saw that ... I told him, "it happens. When I was young, I'd lose my temper. But remember, like you tell me, you can only do your best. But sometimes it's not as good as you think it should be. You expect more, and that is what happens sometimes."

My boy said, "I bet he forgot to eat breakfast this morning..."

Nothing like a good old fashioned flare up on the golf course.

Unless it's herpes.

In all seriousness that move could have really hurt him or a bystander.  You can see the clubhead piece (read: piercing steel arrow at high velocity) rocket off to the right.  A very dangerous way to express anger.  What happened to the old fashioned (and controlled) snap over the leg?

This has happened before and people have died from it.

This.

A guy I was playing with a few years ago did that with his driver on the tee and the head flew right at the rest of us standing to the side. We literally had to dive out of the way. I never played with him again.

I can't imagine just breaking or spiking my club like that. Of course that's because I don't have the money to just replace my clubs whenever I want, and I'm sure he doesn't even pay for his clubs to begin with. This also makes people think it's ok to act out in this manner, not that people really need a reason but they can use it as an excuse "hey, even the pro's do it!".

For the record players and caddies were standing to his back right and the caddie retrieved the head portion of his club after what seemed like just a few steps.  This was very close to being a serious issue.

Watch the video, when it pans out and shows the sky view of Charl walking you can see how close everyone was standing to him.

Imagine if Tiger would've done this! Lol

The "deeply religious" players like Bubba, Zach J. and Schwartzel tend to be a bit like this at times.

They are the grimmest and dullest of personalities.

But in their press conferences they go back into charade mode.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Looked like it was a good 5-7 yards in front of him. Not excusing him or saying it can't be dangerous. But if you're going to throw/break a club, that was probably the best direct to do it.

Watch the video and tell me the clubhead part of the shaft didn't ROCKET directly to his right.

But yeah GFB I guess he picked the right place to break it.

Once a prayer is given on a club and the prayer not granted, though shall break thy club in hopes of pleasing Me and renewing thy prayer connection to the course and the other 13 clubs.
