That would be a mature way of dealing with the embarrassment you'll feel when you realise what a fool you made of yourself when you were younger.

It's one thing to be ambitious, but it's another to make claims that are obviously untrue.

Also, as a 14 year old, using terms like "laugh my ass off" is anything but endearing.

With age will come maturity and, hopefully, a sense of perspective.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Are you always this mad

Are you always this mad

The last thing shorty posted did not sound like he was mad. As a teen, you have a lot more things to learn in life in general. Golf can give you so much more than just the physical satisfaction, it teaches you more about yourself, especially on bad days.

My swing bears some slight similarities to Tommy Gainey's. I guess the OP and I have something in common.

OP, can you upload a good quality dtl video of your driver swing.  we all need to see the swing of a 14 yr old who consistently drives 290, you are an absolute prodigy if this is true.

If you look at his swing videos, there's no way in hell he can hit his driver 290 consistently. Maybe if it was downhill, downwind, and bounced off the cart path 3 times.

IDK how I can show you tmac.

WAIT I GOT AN IDEA. I'll take my phone out in a few days and film me driving. then, I'll put up that thing that tracks how many yards a ball goes and show the yards of how long the drive was. Then we can settle this once and for all... :) Stay tuned

First of all, TMAC20 wrote the post back in August.

Second of all, I don't see anyone else really doubting that you can hit 290 average... Well, maybe a little bit. I suppose it depends upon your definition of average, as well. The thing that strikes most of us as "difficult to believe" is your 73 on a difficult course after a 3 weeks into golf from a 5 year layoff.

The best golfer your age I know, is a 3 hcp. I don't think he could score that low on that course, he has played straight from 5 years old to now. His average drive is about 260.

    • Day 159: did a stack session.
    • Day 84 - 2024-12-23 I hit balls for 20 minutes after lessons and after getting down a BodiTrak for resale. Hinge. Path was weirdly consistent today at 1.6° or so ± like 0.8° only.
    • Day 13: 12/23/2024 A lot more mirror work today. Using my same swing thought. Some slow motion, some full motion, some in between. Today I made sure I took every swing all the way to the finish.
    • Day 234 (23 Dec 24) - Mystery Monday - what to do today….pretty straight up as I spent time with the 58 and a series of pitches (lower flighted all the way up to high fliers over the tulip tree).  Wrapped up the day going lower ball with the 9i and easy bump and runs.  Again as always the setup was key - case in point, got lazy and casually set up, feet straight and promptly hit a couple of nice heely shots hard right.  Knew it immediately, as next couple I went through the routine and flew the balls promptly too the target point.  Setup - setup - setup…
