Youve clearly never been to a Brewer or Packer game on on State Street in Madison on Friday night.  The wildest night of most peoples' life is just a regular Tuesday for a Wisconsinite.  I lived there for almost 32 years and few places drink like they do in Wisconsin.

You hit the nail on the had. New York was the friendliest place I lived in. It actually got so bad in the city that I had to move back to Long Island.

In the city, I would go to walk my dog at night before bed and you ended up knowing everyone in a 5 block radius - having to get up early in the morning, it would drive me nuts talking to people for hours each night.

The tourists just do not understand how annoying they are - stopping to take pictures of everything as the crowded sidewalks rush to where they need to be.(and those out of state jerks not knowing which lane to be in at tolls - made ez pass useless at times)

And as for "worst scenery", we may not have the best, but to be lumped in with the worst...?  I don't think so.
The people who think NY scenery is bad are the same ones who think the entire state is one giant metropolis.  (People are genuinely surprised when they come to the Finger Lakes... "whoa... you have trees!")

Drunkest state goes to Louisiana all day.  We had hockey tournaments there when I was younger and would regularly see parents getting trashed in the stands and kids sipping 40's on the street corners and porches

Also my cousin went to school there and would have a fifth of whiskey empty by 10:00am on game days.  This was common practice.  If you've been to an LSU tailgate you know.  There's a reason those cajuns talk funny.  It's to cover up their drunken slurring.

Yeah, I don't find New Yorkers particularly rude either. It's a bit self-perpetuating at this point. People look for it more than they otherwise would.

This is pretty true. I would carry two pint flasks in my back pockets for the games, typically one filled with Southern Comfort, the other with Jack Daniel's Single Barrel or something similar. That's 32 ounces, which is a little more than a fifth. I would generally finish them around game time, but that's because we would walk around and get drinks from friends at other tailgates.

Some of the best times I don't remember.

I would be dead if I drank that much hard liquor.  I had nine shots of Jim Beam once.  Once was enough.

Yup, we have some friends who visit there every once in awhile.  Not as often as us, but maybe once every couple of years, and inevitably, EVERY TIME the husband comes back with a little anecdote (usually multiple) that's straight out of Taxi Driver ("You talkin' to me??") or Midnight Cowboy ("I'm walkin' here!") or just about any Robert Deniro or Joe Pesci movie.  He's either full of s**t and making up the stories (my guess) or it happens to him because he is the rude one. ;)

The only people I find consistently rude in NY are the car service drivers who try to charge us extra for tolls to and from the airport because they think that we're tourists who don't have a clue.  I'm guessing 95% of the time they are probably right.  a**holes.
