Their choice for Colorado was, sorry to say, just stupid.  It wasn't even sandwich that you can buy.  You have to order a Denver omelette with toast and then put it together as a sandwich.  Just stupid, when there are a zillion other possibilities which are real sandwiches.  They went that way solely because it uses a Denver omelette.

I personally couldn't pick a favorite.  There are many brew-pubs in the state, and most have really good pub food, which includes some signature sandwiches.  Very disappointing that Zagat would ignore that treasure trove of possibilities.  Definitely lowers their standing for me.

It's not Zagat. It's ZINO, Zagat in Name Only. Google bought them in 2011 and looks like most of the original employees are gone.

Western New York seems to have been holding a secret from the rest of the country for many years, and it’s their beef on weck sandwich.

We kept the beef on weck a secret because we gave you chicken wings and you've done nothing but screw them up!

The sandwich is awesome, and just like the chicken wings, I can't find a decent one outside Western NY.

I thought the Colorado choice was weak on their part.

Pennsylvania was an embarrassment.  You're gonna choose an eastern PA sandwich and not go with the cheesesteak because people elsewhere delude themselves into believing they can make one that's more than barely edible?!  What a joke.

I don't know the western part of the state that well but I would've been happier if they'd chosen the sandwich that is actually the signature sandwich of Pittsburgh/western PA, rather than choosing the 2nd string sandwich of Philly/eastern PA.

I was there a few years ago and they had those things everywhere. So good! I wish the rest of the country had them.

Enlighten me on the chicken wings.  I don't see how they can be all that difficult.

I was mostly joking but I grew up in Western NY and most wings I've had outside the state just aren't as good.  When they actually make a "buffalo wing", the sauce isn't quite right and they're just not cooked the same.  I will not condescend to address other "flavors" of chicken wings... those should just be outlawed.

In bigger states like Penn, CA, Texas, NY, etc, they should divide it up.  They are so big that the differences in cuisine from one side to the other can be huge.

You'd have to divide up NYC into dozens of sections. I'm pretty sure I can get a pretty good version of each of the 50 sandwiches in the article within 10 minutes of where I live.

And NY State too. I think the authors were just trying to have a vehicle to write about different kinds of sandwiches by region.

Exactly. I love me some roast pork on an Amoroso roll (from Nick's Roast Beef...yum), but c'mon. Philly Cheesesteak is where it's at in PA.

    • Day 2 (20 Jan 26) - Similar work as yesterday - started with lead hand solo drills with the 50°, followed by series of pitches and chips utilizing full setup.
    • Hey, thanks for the feedback. I do lift weights but I’m also adding yoga or Pilates for mobility and flexibility to my routine.
    • Day 18: 2026.01.20 Continuing work on arm raise during backswing. Starting to feel less weird, especially the slower I go. Looking like a busy week so might be the weekend before I can hit some balls.
    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
