Going to see a pro, haven’t been to one in a while...but this is really getting bad...seems like the more comfortable I get swinging this club, the worse my ball speed 😜

@Lihu , I think your drill swings are done too fast. Unless they're supposed to be done "at speed," you should really slow it down so you can change the picture better. You say they're 80%, but the

Get checked out. My ball speed is around 139 with a 93 swing speed.

This looks very much like striking issues, or if you're hitting into a net with your mevo you may want to check the ball that you're hitting because after a while, balls will start to crack and you may not see it initially.  I see this all the time when I practice with my gc2. 

You should be getting a lot more ball speed than that at your club head speed.  I'm generally around 155-162 ball speed with driver and I don't swing much faster than you.  My 6i is generally around 124-128 ball speed (2011 Nike VR TW irons).  

You spoke about height in another thread-- with driver you want to get about 40* descent angle for max carry and rollout.  But right now, you gotta strike it better!

If the Mevo is too close to the driver it will tend to over-rate clubhead speed. Put it 8-9' behind, even 10' maybe.

That’s exactly where I put it... 8’-9’.

I’ve actually tried all distances from about 6’ to 10’ and they didn’t seem that different. Maybe 1mph...?

Anyway, I’ve signed up for a lesson... hope it goes well.

With the Mevo sitting 12 feet behind the tee. Here are my readings.

The highlighted shot hit the bin 266 yards away about 8 seconds after my shot... “ponnnng” 😂

One of the other players (A low single digit player) saw my first 3 readings and was like “How can I hit farther than you?” He got on my Mevo and his best swings were 80mph with a carry up to 190. We could see his balls landing clearly past the 212 yard hill marked at 212 and ranged within a yard to the flag. I told them the Mevo is great for tracking improvement and such but not very accurate at all.

My Canadian ex-pro long drive friend was swearing he was hitting the balls perfectly and never saw any drive above 306 yards even though his shots were landing 360 yards into one or two the fairways behind the fence over water. The way we could tell was people dispersing at their second shots.

Yeah, going to go with my Mevo not being accurate in absolute terms... 😁

Still like using it though. Every now and then some cocky hitter goes to my range I’ll ask him if he wants to get “Mevoed” only to look disappointed he only hits 10-20% shorter than he thought! And swears he has an over 100mph swing speed only to see 90mph 😂😂😂

These were with my shiny new M6... Loving it!

Lower temperatures might be affecting the Mevo too? It was cold and I leave it in my bag...

Is your range downhill or something? Because the Mevo is going to give the flat carry yardage.

That range is only about 250 yards maximum distance. This is a 235-yard shot:

      Fair   My uneducated thought: the big miss is the penalty area. If you want to optimize score, missing into the bunker (likely 5) is better than missing right into the penalty (possible 6). With that, your strategy seems sound and if you hit a committed shot, you get a bunker 5% of the time, take your medicine and hopefully get a putt for par but accept bogey. You may find yourself in a penalty situation 2-3% of the time and accept the associated outcome. The vast majority of the time though you are giving yourself a good approach shot into the green.

      I walk 30 mins a day on my lunch break. It is not very intense (since i dont want to get sweaty in my work clothes), so just a touch above leisurely. 3 days a week I walk on the treadmill for 60 mins. I alternate the incline from 4 to 10 for a couple minutes, once every ten minutes. I lift my kettlebells nearly everyday. I have a couple complex routines. I find just 15 minutes and my heart rates is elevated
