Like I said, playing in larger money games with lots of pros a few times a week

The norm is LCP

Now why would I play it down when everyone is rolling it

Just watch the honda today

2nd day in a row

Lcp

Its the norm in Sfl

What's your deal man? What point are you trying to prove? That you live and play in South Florida? That you lift, clean, place every time you tee it up and are proud of it?

Am I missing something?

Well, I for one am hoping that it's a dry year so we don't have to see this at the top of the forum areas.

If you LCP in a tournament that has not specified this condition at the start of a round, then you should be disqualified if you LCP and don't add a stroke for each instance.  It is irrelevant what your HC is, 40 or +9.  You are not playing the ball as it lies.  If you do it on any round that you record for your handicap, and the course has not specified LCP for that round, then your handicap is invalid.

Like I said I play daily Almost half is money games 50 guys Many pros Its always LCP I got hamnered by purist because I said most golfers dont understand relief rules and that most courses get overplayed so even fairways are often GUR So pureists say never improve While IMO knowledgeable golfers are dropping lots

Like I said

You guys aren't playing by the Rules of Golf. It's that simple. You're making up your own rules.

I know a group of seniors that lets you roll the ball all the time. Just because they allow it, doesn't mean it's "by the rules." You can't seem to wrap your head around that very simple concept.

I know a group of seniors that concedes every putt 3' and in. Still not within the rules, even if everyone agrees to it and does it.

I got hamnered by purist because I said most golfers dont understand relief rules and that most courses get overplayed so even fairways are often GUR

So pureists say never improve

While IMO knowledgeable golfers are dropping lots

Again, knowledgeable golfers are not violating the rules left and right in every round they play.

I stood up for your right to continue posting, but you're just a two-track mind, and you're going to find your stay here very brief.

Money games DOES NOT equal USGA rules.

Basically your rules only matter to you and the money games you play. In the real world, you cheat.

Golfers have never and will never have the right to decide when they can have LCP for official matches and rounds in consideration for handicap calculations. LCP is only made by the rules officials or USGA for unique circumstances. Since you are only talking about money games it doesn't matter because you are all your own officials, and those altered rules are only valid for your money games, not legitimate USGA sanctioned handicaps.

So basically your zero handicap is invalid if you are using LCP when the course has not deemed it allowable.

I may be dating myself here with this reference (this movie is several years older than @jamo :-P ), but everytime impactswing posts, I can't help but think of this movie scene:

That's very funny! My vote would be the Simpsons episode where they went into Witness relocation and Homer wouldn't say his name was Mr. Thomson.

Let's see

Honda classic minutes from me

Preferred lies

Just like almost any pro event or money game is played in SFL

So let the people calling me a cheater call all the pros at the honda cheaters

You LCP in SFL

That is the norm

No one ever said that you were a cheater because you LCPed it in a tournament when the Committee has decreed LCP.  They said you were a cheater because you advocated preferred lies in all situations with the nonsensical reasoning that the pros always get good lies (they don't) so we should also.  LCPing, when there is no Committee authorizing it, is cheating, pure and simple, and you not only are a self-proclaimed cheater, you advocate for other people to cheat.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

Ha ha! I love that movie. @impactswing says he writes books. Maybe somebody read one of them and it inspired the scene in the movie.

It's a lengthy bit where, because the Simpsons had to relocate by going into the Federal Witness relocation program...the agents in charge had to get them to answer to a new name.   They kept trying to get Homer to respond to "Mr. Thompson" but he never would.   It just frustrated them and frustrated them.   Why that strikes me now, who knows?

Just happy I don't live in SFL so I don't have to deal with all those bad lies.

    • You might want to try a can of Bar Keepers Friend. Yes, it is abrasive, so just wet a sponge and dab it on. It has oxalic acid (no bleach like "Comet" kitchen cleanser), and it works wonders on stainless steel and other metals. Try it on a small area first to see what happens.
    • Fair   My uneducated thought: the big miss is the penalty area. If you want to optimize score, missing into the bunker (likely 5) is better than missing right into the penalty (possible 6). With that, your strategy seems sound and if you hit a committed shot, you get a bunker 5% of the time, take your medicine and hopefully get a putt for par but accept bogey. You may find yourself in a penalty situation 2-3% of the time and accept the associated outcome. The vast majority of the time though you are giving yourself a good approach shot into the green.

It is not very intense (since i dont want to get sweaty in my work clothes), so just a touch above leisurely. 3 days a week I walk on the treadmill for 60 mins. I alternate the incline from 4 to 10 for a couple minutes, once every ten minutes. I lift my kettlebells nearly everyday. I have a couple complex routines. I find just 15 minutes and my heart rates is elevated
