If you want white remember to regrip all your clubs to white, I do not have a bag with 14 seperate channels and the black grip on my driver messed up the white grips when taking it in and out :)

do you have pure grips in white? How do they look (no matter what brand) and how long have you had them?

Yeah maybe I should go with the green. I like the looks of the blue as well. How long have you had yours?

No, but I had white grips on my last 710 titleist irons, I used them for one season, they got dirty and when the rubber started to wear off they got more and more miscoloured... I do not know how the Pure Grips will respond to dirt, maybe they will do a little better since the rubber is kind of different. I do not know.

I had white Iomics on my Titleist irons, they are a little bit softer than the Pure Pro. I used them for 1 season, about 6 months...

If you want white grips that will stay white you have to look away from the rubber grips. The Lamkin Tour Full Cord will stay white much longer, but it's a lot harscher against the skin than the Pure Grips, and not in anyway ''tacky''...

Ok one more thing. I went to my local golf store and they didn't have pures. So just wondering do they feel like niions? Ndmc? Lamkin 3gn? I'm a fan of niions just not the price So I can order them if I get an idea of the feel

I just put white Pure DTX grips on my wedges.  I'll let you know how they hold up.

That blue painters tape comes in a few different widths.  One of them is such that when you wrap it around the shaft the long way (not like you'd tape a hockey stick, but rather one piece lengthwise "folded" around the shaft once) it doesn't overlap, but just about meets itself on the other side.

I cut it w/scissors or mag knife. The skinny tape I wind it down diagonally, like a barber's pole.

The two sided tape I use measures 1 15/16". I don't know it it's officially 2" tape or not but it probably is.

Sometimes I notice a very slight overlap at the bottom so I put the tape on where the overlap is underneath. Probably a waste of effort because once I put the grip on I never know it's there.

Yeah, probably.  I googled shaft diameter, and got 0.600", so the circumference would be 1.885".  I guess the 2" tape will overlap a teeny bit, but I would think that as long as you stagger where the overlaps, assuming you're doing more than one wrap, then you'd never notice.  I doubt I'd be able to tell regardless.

I guess I haven't held a Tour Velvet in a quite some time then. They seem "drier" feeling to me whereas the Pures feel "moist-er". Maybe that's just a "me" thing though...:-\

Yes! But maybe people feel different! To me you can not compare the feeling of tour velvet with pure. The pure is much more moisted with and tacky, where the tour velvet is a dry grip. I think tour velvet has the edge when it rains but thats it... My hands hurt with some months old tour velvets. Girly hands :)

Yeah, that's accurate. Not much tho ... A little softer, but otherwise fairly similar, I'd say.

Yeah a little tad softer and more tacky, also I had to wash my nions with hot water and a brush more often, to always have the same feel. But I think the niion was a quality grip who can last a long time... Now im more happy with my Pure, but im looking forward to see how long the will lastvduring this season.. Started from Wednesday I will hit some balls almost everyday to September/November!

      Day 27 (7 Dec 25) - Got in a few swings with 9i and hard foam balls in backyard.  Setup weight fwd (rebuilt left foot really lets me feel the weight in a slightly painful way) - kept the backswing to around 9 o’clock focusing on contact and resulting divot pattern.  Like how the hard foam balls come off the face (almost like real balls in sound).  A good abbreviated session as I only able to hit about a dozen balls in the fading light.

      Not the part I was replying to: Handicaps did not go down much (like 0.14 on average IIRC?) when we went from 10/20*0.96 to 8/20. And a good chunk of that was from the +s.

      I think he meant in the UK. The old system was completely different from the new one. 10/20 x 0.96 vs 8/20 would really only impact very low handicaps I think. The 0.96 serves to increase differentials for plus differentials, where 8/20 vs 10/20 works to lower differentials for all. I don't know many plus golfers who would be upset that their index got lower. A lot of really good players don't even really keep their handicaps up-to-date. They're much more interested in their WAGR rankings which get them entries to certain events.
