Looking to get all my clubs apart from putter re-gripped. Any preferences? Best bang for your buck? I currently just have stock grips and they are starting to wear. I know most use Golf Pride grips and there are also Winn Dri-Tac. Any preferences? They even make a difference?

You'll see many here like the PURE grips, including me. They are made without any unnecessary polymers that seem to make other grips wear out faster. I would stay away from Winn grips unless you like to regrip twice a year...

How long do PURE grips last?

Guaranteed for a year. Last much longer than that in my experience.

Pure pro grips are amazing. If you buy the kit you can even install them yourself. Its supper easy and they have a pretty big selection of colors.

Huh, and they aren't significantly more expensive than most other grips either. Probably even cheaper when we account for how long they last. How much for the proprietary installation tools? I'm thinking I might switch to them, especially after my recent mishap with applying a traditional grip (I probably won't make that particular mistake again).

$35 or so. Plus an air compressor. I'll never pay someone to install grips again. Or use tape and solvents.

I currently have pure pros on my driver and 60* and love them. I think golf pride ndmc are the best grips but destroy hands and gloves all in all, pure is the way to go

I need to check those PURE grips out I reckon.

I always use Lamkin Crosslines. Last ok and are very comfortable to me as I usually go gloveless.

Fresh grips are one of the greatest little pleasures in golf.

I had Dick's install the Golf Pride Niion Orange/White grips to my entire bag this past April - was gonna do it myself but they were running promo, 10+ clubs and free installation.  So I did it.  They did a good job and I am pleased with the grips.  I chose the bright orange/white simply because I wanted loud grips, lol.

Callaway XR 9.5 + 1, Taylormade R15 3 Wood, Burner 3 Rescue, Callaway XHot 5H, Warbird 4H, Nike Vapor Fly 6-AW Irons, Titleist Vokey 54, 60 Wedges, Taylormade Rossa Fontana Putter, Srixon Z-Star Tour Yellow.

Best Score 2017:  82 (Traditions at the Glen, Par 70)

Favorite Course - Conklin Players Club (Par 72) - Best Score 86

I had the orange Niions on my club last season. Great grips in my opinion. I went with tour velvet 360 on all clubs this season. So far so good. My favorite grips were the red VDR grips.

      Day 27 (7 Dec 25) - Got in a few swings with 9i and hard foam balls in backyard.  Setup weight fwd (rebuilt left foot really lets me feel the weight in a slightly painful way) - kept the backswing to around 9 o’clock focusing on contact and resulting divot pattern.  Like how the hard foam balls come off the face (almost like real balls in sound).  A good abbreviated session as I only able to hit about a dozen balls in the fading light.

      Not the part I was replying to: Handicaps did not go down much (like 0.14 on average IIRC?) when we went from 10/20*0.96 to 8/20. And a good chunk of that was from the +s.

      I think he meant in the UK. The old system was completely different from the new one. 10/20 x 0.96 vs 8/20 would really only impact very low handicaps I think. The 0.96 serves to increase differentials for plus differentials, where 8/20 vs 10/20 works to lower differentials for all. I don't know many plus golfers who would be upset that their index got lower. A lot of really good players don't even really keep their handicaps up-to-date. They're much more interested in their WAGR rankings which get them entries to certain events.

      Day 433 - 2025-12-07 Got some work in after Junior Elite before a night of sports (and the return of my wife!). Backswing work. Similar to what a lot of my juniors are doing.
