I honestly can't think of any scenarios - outside of Three's Company style sitcom shenanigans where people are lying about NOTHING - where the cover up is worse than the crime.

How about the Kennedy assassination or Benghazi.

Really depends I guess on how you define "the crime."  If you believe there was a cover-up with the JFK assassination, then the crime was something to the effect of "CIA conspires with mafia to kill POTUS."  In that case, I think the crime was waaaaay worse (FWIW I think that's crackpot, but whatevs.)  Likewise if you believe there was a crime in Benghazi, then it was "SoS actively impedes DoD effort to rescue US Embassy resulting in multiple deaths."  Dead people is worse than lying.

Watergate, Obamacare.

Watergate I'd agree.  Small potatoes politically motivated burglary vs. grand coverup committed by POTUS and his closest advisors which included destruction of evidence and intimidation of witnesses and reporters.  Obamacare did not have a "crime" so to speak--Congress passed a law by majority vote and the President signed it.

I'd offer up this one:  President Clinton gets a hummer from a chubby intern--who cares.  He then lies to the entire country in a prime-time interview, and further lies to and disrupts investigation by Special Prosecutor (which never should have happened because, really, who cares?).  Crime vastly overshadowed by the lying/cover up in that case.

In my view, the lying and cover up by the US Government is a far greater and more damaging crime than the actual offenses.  Washington DC seems to forget they work for us.

Come on guys get back on topic. This is suppose to be the NFL Football thread for 2014 (it's 2015, but anyways) not the lets discuss US politics and historic supposed cover-ups.

See what happens when you get two forum leaders going at it. They forget to open a new thread and end up going off topic.

    • Day 323 - Opposite of yesterday, focusing more on taking a full backswing than anything else.
    • Day 139: worked on putting for a while. Did the two cups drill for bead.
    • It’s winter here and time hitting at my indoor place.  This year I bought and sold a few sets so I didn’t settle in on anything. For this coming season, starting now I have a choice to make.  What set would you guys use? 1.  Nike Vapor Pro irons - They are like new, hit them some last year before I had to demo other sets.  I love them, original grips, barely used so I’m almost not wanting to use them to keep their value up.  Standard LLL and standard grips. 2. Taylormade P7TW irons - Still in the box.  Got them over a year ago but had too much to hit, never used them.  Have used a set in the past and loved them.  Ended up with my own set custom fit to me -1/4”, 1 degree flat midsize grips.  These are probably not as valuable because they are still available and they are fit to me. I hate to put the Nikes away but it makes more sense to save them than the TW’s…. I dunno….
    • Day 215 (3 Dec 24) - Another very chilly day - opted to work on easy pitches in the backyard. Worked thru the irons and wedges - focused on foot position and tempo.
