I think these are valid questions considering the vagueness of your thread title. It's a very hard question to answer as there will be literally be over 20,000 shots taken in this tournament. Anywhere from the tee to the green. Tee shots, approaches, short game, putts, recovery shots, etc.

There is absolutely nothing hard to answer about this question.  I mean, my god, I wasn't asking anybody to be perfect to the 100th decimal place because it's your college final and you need this to graduate. It wasn't meant to be a research project. It's just a discussion point on a discussion board. I was just simply asking who YOU THOUGHT would hit the worst shot at the championship. Jesus guys, really?  What if I had asked who you thought was the best basketball player during the 80, 90s?  Would somebody come back and say "Well that's a hard question to answer" or  "That is a bogus question".    How about this one? Who will have the toughest defense in the NFL this year?  Is that too vague? Is that bogus? It's the exact same thing.

I think it's the random irrelevance of the question being asked. The worst shot could come from, well, anyone. The eventual winner could hit it. That's the random aspect of it.

The irrelevance is, well, just that. Who cares? It's one shot.

This is a brilliant thread!!

I think Ernie Els will hit one into a bunker on the 13th!!

Phil will hit an errant drive that careens off a tree that hits a spectator in the head and breaks their Oakley prescription sunglasses. And in return Phil will reach in his pocket and hand her (3) hundred dollar bills with a hug!

So? Who ended up actually having the worst shot?

I heard the commentators say that Stenson borderline shanked/sliced one on 17 or 18.

Although he made a par - I'd nominate the Saturday drive on number 2 by Jason Day, across the creek and in the deep stuff

I think Ricky shanked one or almost shanked one at the end but it wasn't really that bad.

Tiger had some tee shots that were WAAAAAAYYYY offline.

Some random dude didn't carry the pond and dropped one right in the drink with a wedge (Pretty bad for a pro with a wedge)

In my opinion Tiger hit plenty of bad tee shots,  However, I haven't watched the entire thing yet so I don't yet have an opinion on who hit the worst shot that was televised.

    • Yeah I’ve tried it but I don’t feel very comfortable doing it like that. Isn’t there like a website where I can do it so it’s safer??
    • Day 200 3-4 Wider back swing, arms up a bit higher, and added in some flow work to start getting a since of a full swing. Still focusing on arching wrist through downswing.
    • It's going to be very difficult for the 2026 Masters to match the 2025 edition for storyline. I honestly don't know that anyone else in the field could match the story of Rory finally winning after so many years and the blow ups over the years, not to mention the career slam being completed. No one this year that I can think of is remotely close to that kind of story. Combine that with the attempts at blow ups last year (Double on the 1st, 13, 18 on first try) and the stunningly good shots that he hit in the final round (7, 15, 17, 18 on second try).  Full gamut: https://www.masters.com/en_US/watch/2025-04-13/17445961638226475/every_single_shot_from_rory_mcilroys_final_round.html
