Euros just have too much strength. In the past, I could see a comeback possible. Even in 2010 when we almost pulled it off, the talent was pretty even. But this Euro team is just stacked from top to bottom. I personally feel like you have to go back to the '77 American team when they had Nicklaus, Watson, Wadkins, Irwin, Floyd, Green and Stockton when there was a Ryder Cup team this strong.

I don't agree. Cheer like crazy, be happy, all fine. Silencing the croud like that, blah. Never saw Poulter do something like that. On the contrary, at 18 at Medinah last day he showed sportmanship when his opponent had to hit but people made to much noice, asking for respect.

Poulter was doing the dagger to the heart after chipping in yesterday. It's fine.

Wait what? 'Boxing' on your Euro sign at your shirt is dagger to the heart? Ah whatever, let's enojoy the golf. Still don't like Reed anyway ;)

Why are they so much better at this than the US? Is there any real reason?

They have 4 guys in the top 6 in the world and 6 in the top 18. That's not including guys like Westwood and Dubuisson who are better than some of our top players. They're just a better team. Also, we don't have the dominant player like Europe has. That hurts on days like today where you need dominance to step up.

Bubba and Simpson have been major disappointments. Would have rather seen Mickelson/Kuchar yesterday morning instead of Watson/Kuchar.

Lol, since today. Don't watch much PGA so had pretty much no opinion at all about him, quite a new player gor me.

Didn't bubba / kutcher play 7 or 8 under? They just ran into an absolute buzz saw in rose/stenson. That match was really really good.

Yep. -8 if that matters. In the stretch where Rose/Stenson went -10 on 10 holes, Watson/Kutcher halved 5 of those holes.

Nice comebackfrom G-Mac. All square niw, being three down early in the game.

Spieth handling G-mac just fine. However, McDowell ALWAYS seems to come alive on the back 9 in match play.

If my math is right, 6 US leads, 2 Euro, 4 AS. That makes 14-14, Euro win by razor's edge. Anything can happen but it sure doesn't feel like a US rally. Why am I pessimistic?

They can't afford to lose that Spieth match. That would be a colossal defeat. You can stick a fork in this team if Jordan can't rally. Leave it to G-Mac and Rose...two of the biggest thorns in our side....to stick it to the Americans in the last 30 minutes.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
