I was thinking maybe it was a lower trajectory shot. I read "overtaking" a lot in golf instructor threads. What does this mean? The relationship between shoulders, arms, hips and their relative speeds?

Rate that the club head overtakes the hands. So casting or flipping would have a higher overtaking rate. On the other side of the spectrum would be a Zach Johnson swing.

What Mike said. Higher rates can also be caused by too much "throw" in the lower hand and excessive rotation of the forearms. This illustrates the difference: BTW @nevets88 , you spent an entire afternoon next to some clown who was learning this exact piece :-P
