This is the logo from a course about 5 miles from me. A great course but a goofy logo.

My favorite is still The Olympic Club, but these are cool:

SFGC - slightly subversive. Almost menacing.

Because, Flipper!

Clever w/the crossing clubs, reminds me of Met Museum logo.

Because, pirates! Arrrrrr, shiver me timbers.

I almost always try to visit Possum Trot when I am over that way. Makes for an enjoyable round of golf most every time.

Is that some kind of cross on the sail?  They might be claiming a connection to the pilgrims.

Maybe it's supposed to be the Santa Maria?

"Fairways of Halfmoon" is a weird name; it sounds more like a J.R.R. Tolkien novel than a golf course.

Halfmoon is the name of the Town the course is in. So it sort of makes sense. But yeah, strange name, strange logo, but nice golf course.

Not a pirate ship, Half Moon was Henry Hudson's ship. He sailed up the Hudson River in 1607.

      Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.

      Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.

      That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.

      Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
