Played Mattaponi Springs yesterday north of Richmond, one of the toughest and hilliest layout I've played anywhere. This is pic looking back at the fairway from next to the green of the 9th hole. The pic doesn't do justice but that's a good 50-60 feet drop. Lot of forced carries to the greens which were heavily tired and slow as molasses. Lot of fairway runoffs. Visually beautiful course though. Played mostly defense and shot a meh 82 loosing five shots in the first six holes.

While not as exciting as doing it on a par 72 course, finally did break 80 yesterday - 78/Par 70. It was a solo round so can't post. It's my first ever no-sixes round but since I can't post the score

Swing check. 7 iron and driver with focus on some basics, steady head, maintain incline, unlocked elbow/wrist joints.proper hip rotation.

It was the one with the windmill. About six yards, but playing into a 10 MPH breeze (mostly from the windmill).

The sea was angry that day my friends!! 😋

Short hole (5th at The Orchards GC, Washington, MI), no real trouble. Was on my second round of the day and wasn't playing all that well but this livened up the afternoon. 109 yard, 3/4 'flighted' PW. Clean hit, never left the pin, landed a foot from the hole, seemed like it hopped a yard past, stopped, pulled back on a string and disappeared. Pandemonium.

Sorry bro, it was sexier than one of them one/two hop drop variety (I think they are the lucky variety.. heh heh). I've been hitting wedges very close for a while now. I was due one. No clown windmill shit. Legit. 💪

DOD practice. Rhythm, balance etc.

Hybrid..

Hybrid face on.. 

Things chugging along. Lose my swing every now and then but kinda on a cruise control.

Hmm, honestly wasn't paying attention. Have been trying to round out the back and cover the ball more with my chest to get it more towards the ball since you mentioned it previously. Guess, feel ain't real.

      I will add this. It’s something that has been happening last golf season and today.  sometimes when I make a turn with the lower body through impact and into the finish I will bring my back leg off the ground. It’s like if the back leg stays down, I can’t turn fully into the finish. It’s like my turn drags my right leg forward. Usually, I hit the ball really good when this happens. anyways just an observation.

      First range session of 2025! The Good, PT helped, felt much more limber. I was able to do the pause at A6, pump and hit the ball drill pretty good.    The mediocre, right elbow stuff. I can feel when it stays bent. Which is all the time right now.  Hey, first time of the year, and still battling old patterns. A good number of swings were either over the top, or shallow with the body stuff.  Anyways, good to be out at the range for a bit.

      Tiger Woods has surgery after rupturing Achilles in return to training Woods has undergone another surgery, this time to his left Achilles tendon, which was ruptured recently during training. Well, it's time for Tiger to retire.  His body is falling apart.
